Well, it's very hard to decipher where a virus originates from and who by... To be honest its just one of those things that comes with being a computer owner. As long as you protect your machine sufficiently there should be nothing to worry about. Always back up as well, just in case anything does go wrong, that way you will always have a copy of your files and programs.

But what has happenned on another computor is now I can not open AVG to do a scan and on rebooting it wont load and is it is attempting startup repairs.

Where do I go from here?
  • So can you get onto your desktop? if so, can you open your internet browser and access webpages?

OK - So when you boot the machine, does it give you an uption to select normal boot sequence or does it automatically go into repair.. If so when in the repair system, you should be able to click 'Cancel'???

Right - I have now got the computor to reboot and done a system restore
then a screen comes up saying to run Antivirus security pro (which we did'nt download but obviously have in some pratish link) when I say no don't scan and try and get out I get a blanc screen and have to reboot.
  • Are you able to work around it or minimize? To try and access your own AV software or internet browseR?
