Sebu vacuum cleaner?

Some months ago some one was highly rating their sebu vacuum cleaner.
I was wondering if that user or any other sebu vacuum cleaner user was about. I am considering a sebu air belt d2 purchase and wondered if any one had any experience with this model.

That concerns me a little. I'm replacing a Miele cat and dog. I don't need to carry it upstairs, (i can keep another vaccum upstairs) but would prefer to be able to do the stairs with it.
I also need a robust vacuum as I am sometimes clumsy (mobility issues). If I can drag it along my its hose without being too precious its weight might be ok.
Does she think its effective? I have a mixture of hard floors and carpet (though longer term the carpet will go) and lots of hair (pets, me) and dirt......people tramping through my house straight off the farm yard or garden:mad: including me

Is the Miele no good or just on it's last legs?0

I've had SEBO vacuum cleaners for about 25 years and wouldn't have anything else. I have a cylinder SEBO K1 Pet. I have had an upright one SEBO X1 I think but prefer cylinder ones. The good thing about SEBO is that if you have a problem an engineer will come to the house. It is quite heavy but I haven't really got anything else to compare it with. We used to have two dogs (only one now) and it cleans up all the pet hair. It's fine on floors as well. We have vinyl floors.
Mine has plastic bumpers so it doesn't matter if you are clumsy. Another good thing is that the cord is long and retracts.0 -

The Miele have been good, (my family between is all have had a few over the decades! ) but this one is really old and is losing power. The new one bought a couple of years ago is in for repair, and tbh that does disappoint me, it had a repair for the same fault while under warranty and its a disappointment. But the new Miele can be my I upstairs Hoover(like the old one has been) and a new vacuum can be my downstairs one, its just a decision of what to go for downstairs.
Sebu were so vehemently recommended last time, with a passion usually only Miele users have that I thought maybe I should be open to moving forward in my vacuum choice.
(I have an upstairs and down stairs vacuum because I cannot always carry a vacuum up and down stairs, so it just makes my life easier......I do appreciate its indulgent).0 -

Thanks for your feedback.
. You obviously are smitten!
Engineer coming to the house is REALLy good news.
Vinyl must be quite easy to keep clean? How do you thi it would handle old knarly floorboards and uneven stone flags? Or even bare concrete?
I could not cope with an upright at all
only a cylinder, I am looking at the air belt d2 because it seems to have the best head for pets? Is that right do you know? 0 -
I have never had a cylinder vacuum cleaner, only an upright. My upright is a Sebo and I would replace it with another Sebo if it ever broke - it is about thirty years old, and I've only ever had to replace filters and bags. Fabulous quality, and definitely not delicate - it gets crashed around by my menfolk without a care for vacuum or furniture![0

Wow, thirty years old is something impressive! Its surprising which? Cannot say anything about the reliability if there are such 'adult' machines about

I know! I sometimes fancy a new one, but I really can't justify getting rid of the old faithful!
