How do you know that?
You can't do a direct comparison as nothing directly compares with it. You can't switch supplier anyway, (without changing the meter, posibbily the entire installation, and maybe even the appliances) and I doubt Swalec have any alternative tariff that suits your current set up.
That's why you won't find your existing tariff on any comparison site.0 -

I know because I have checked how much I am paying per unit.
Do you work for Swalec?? :cool:0 -

E7 allows for 7 hours cheap rate electricity per day. Almost all suppliers offer E7
You have a preserved white meter tariff and as such have a meter that no other supplier will accept. Swalec as the legacy supplier for your region are obliged to maintain its offering to support your set-up/metering whilst you continue to remain a customer.0 -

Yes but you have a white meter. It's used for storage heating with an afternoon top up at low rates. You'll need to get your current supplier to remove the meter and replace it either with an E7 meter or a standard meter.electroman wrote: »Isn't E7 when you pay for night and day energy?:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Really!? They have a top up in the afternoons??.... None of my heaters have that function! I think I need to get it changed then. Thank you for your help.0 -
So you do not have a 'standard digital E7 meter' after all. A bit premature to blame SP for that.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Wow, surprised with the amount of sarcasm there is on here. I posted this for help not to be made to look like a fool.
So I don't totally understand electrical meters and what they mean, hence why I asked for help.
