I've got an Indesit washing machine, which is now about five years old and so far has been trouble free (expect problems now)!
I think that was mostly to do with fridges/freezers.
Friends had Beko fridge/freezer when they married in the 1980's never gave any trouble for 20+yrs.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
Thanks for all the replies, but time is against us, so it looks like it's a cash/carry job on Saturday.
Without going into detail, it's beginning to get a bit desperate.
Difficult with so many of these companies only doing home deliveries, and getting time off work.
Locally Sparkworld has a selection of graded etc machines, I've used them for a cooker so will probably end up there.
p.s. For the record, I have a Whirlpool washer, bought 1999 for £279 and never missed a beat, but it is starting to sound tired.:)Move along, nothing to see.0 -

Just an update.
Popped to Sparkworld on Saturday and bought this Zanussi .
Disconnected broken machine, bought/collected/fitted new one, little bit of tinkering with hoses etc.
New machine up and running, all done under 2.5 hrs, and no waiting in for delivery.
Apparently, it's much quieter than the old one on wash, and slightly quieter on spin, but it is 1200 rpm against 1000rpm.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
