Normally £1.09 turns out to be a letter with a normal 1st class stamp on when it needs a large letter stamp on. Usually an over sized birthday card or one with a badge on that makes it too thick. 9p is the difference between a 1st class normal stamp and a 2nd class large letter stamp. The £1 is a handling charge.
No idea what the £2.50 charge will be, sorry.Thank you to everyone who posts on the competitions boards. You all rock!0 -
cheers all will send the wifey sat morning she'll kill me if its awful:rotfl:0

If it's from a company, you can always complain.
I had a letter from Friends Life earlier this year with no postage at all. Cost a couple quid to collect. So I raised a complaint via phone and a week later I had a cheque for £10 from them with an apology letterFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0 -
