Rec'd a sorry you were out card from royal mail today but the sender hasnt paid enough postage :mad:
Was wondering if anyone else had rec'd one today?

    You should see the package and if its something you don't want refuse to pay...how much is the postage+fine....

    Normally £1.09 turns out to be a letter with a normal 1st class stamp on when it needs a large letter stamp on. Usually an over sized birthday card or one with a badge on that makes it too thick. 9p is the difference between a 1st class normal stamp and a 2nd class large letter stamp. The £1 is a handling charge.

    No idea what the £2.50 charge will be, sorry.

    If it's from a company, you can always complain.

    I had a letter from Friends Life earlier this year with no postage at all. Cost a couple quid to collect. So I raised a complaint via phone and a week later I had a cheque for £10 from them with an apology letter :)
