Glad to hear he is getting better, even if he can't take to his divan and have you and Pip feed him peeled grapes 🍇.
Does Pip have PPEs coming up?4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

What are PPEs???They have mocks after Christmas. But are currently in bed, exhausted, and totally unfit for life, let alone school. So, a quiet day ahead of us, but one with lots of going up and down the stairs.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!2

PPEs are mocks (preliminary public examinations, or some such nonsense). DS3 has his in a fortnight, and he had developed a 'teenage swagger' about him and an attitude which is horrible. Cocky little know-it-all, but the teachers are piling on the pressure and doing subject interventions and stressing him out something horrid.

And so begins week 2. 6 more to go, including this one. And 8 until the end of the year. Eek.Dh is still in pain, but much less than a week ago. Pip is still exhausted, but is in school. I've kept up with the workout/100 burpees each day.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4

I went to a localish indoor market today, to suss it out and see if I'd want to have a table there.... I'm not sure... But I've asked for a table at the one where I have been once before. It's in the community hall under the gym, so I'll get a workout done afterwards.Found a good quality brown jacket for pip in a Ch shop. It has as many pockets as their blazer, so should be good for next year.I have downloaded Richard Osman's fourth book, so am listening to that as I sew some felt elephants.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!1

Addicted to R Osman! Utterly wonderful. You are doing so well; I bet you're not missing The Trunchbull?! Onwards and upwards love Humdinger xx1

I am not missing work at all! It's such a relief to no longer have to go there. I'm still getting up at the same time, so that I have some quiet time alone before waking pip. But that's by choice, not necessity.

I was away in Europe last week and went to the local super cheap CS equivalent that I know well - got a Balmain jacket with a missing belt for 10 euros! It looks fabulous as well, it screams I look chic- their jackets are £2-3k upwards new..Might be my best find ever
@beanielou glad the waitrose deliveries are working and sorry to read about your fallingDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
