Parents evening done. So many parents did not turn up. Maybe they had replied and said that they would not be there, but that was not info that was passed on to us... it was therefore rather a quiet evening!
Another nsd acquired. #6/16.
Plenty of marking done - what was needed to talk intelligently to parents tonight, plus lots of little niggly bits. Now down to 2 lots of bigger marking, one of which I should tackle tomorrow...
Rain is due tomorrow so have asked dh to pop up into the loft and check that the rain-catching container up there is ok to catch it!
Am looking forward to a more normal day, time-wise. 8am -7pm is not much fun!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Used 2x £2 credit in the Sally Army, buying a denim-y skirt with a white lacy frill on the bottom edge. More bunny fabric!
Am glad the day at work is done. Didn't manage to get the marking done. Humph.
Dd slept in with us last night. I am rather tired...
Another day with no money spent. Good.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Dd got to sleep by 9pm last night - hooray! And I wasn't much later...
Usual day ahead: plenty of teaching, duty, oodles of marking (own fault),emails to respond to, pupils to catch up with. And certain colleagues to avoid (they drag me down with their negativity).
Can I be dressed, presentable, lunch made, bag packed and out in the next 10 mins...? Let's see...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
I made it in 15, so not too shabby...

So far, so good.
Have also mowed the front square of grass and cut back bushes I should have worked on months ago.
The curtains are being pesky and refusing to get clean. They hang to the floor and were so filthy, but three turns in the new super duper shiny washing machine really should get them clean...
Acquired some yellow wool from aldee, so can now try the creme egg chicks... With a coffee...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Am impressed with the knitted chicks! Not nearly as fiddly as I'd thought. 1 made and another waiting to be sewn up. But I don't think I'll be able to make too many as somehow the knitting action they require strains my wrist...
Plenty of steps - about 13k - done. Plus bunny slope workout #7.
The curtains are draped around the house to dry tonight. They'll need ironing tomorrow at some point. Still not brilliantly clean...
Ooooh, the rugby is on again tomorrow! So I guess I'll be doing some more knitting - possibly hats/cosies rather than chicks...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
I'm just impressed by your craftiness, tbh - I am useless at stuff like that
Was even thrown out of needlework at school! (had to study Latin instead!!) Wundaweb is my friend

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: i love wonderwebby stuff too, especially for curtains and trousers for my super short legs.
Dance has been danced and I got to go round the mini pound shop there, where for £5 I got a black jacket, vest top, tee shirt and 2 long-sleeved tops. Awesome haul, if I say so myself... and 50p got me some gold wool/thread stuff.
This afternoon should involve plenty of rugby, a workout, a hot bath and lots of knitting.

My mind wandered at this, thinking of all those thighs.......:D

More thighs this afternoon...
I am sooo proud of dd! She has been going through her bedroom to get rid of things to go to charity. So far, she has filled 3 Sally Army bags! I have taken photos of a couple of things to try to sell so now need to actually post them on fb.
The curtains are ironed and re-hung. They do not quite reach the floor now - eek! And the nets from our bedroom have been soaked for a while (disgusting water!) and also washed. They are now hanging outside - twas rather a wrestle to get the rotary airer up as the climbing frame is in a different position from usual. But I won. Of course.
Just put 2 + 2 together and realised that tomorrow I have a curriculum meeting at 4.30, postponed from last Mon; followed immediately by a full governing body (brought forawrds from weds, but cannot remember when we agreed this!) meeting, due to be guillotined at 8pm unless we vote to continue it... Gulp.
Best go and read the agenda and associated paperwork...
And not be too distracted by the rugby. 38 mins to kick off... Can I fit it all in????NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
