We emptied out and cleaned the paddling pool mid week as the green stuff was extremely fast-growing! We also managed to cause some punctures so it is on its side, slowly deflating, but PERFECT leaning up against the climbing frame as a 'mini den' for dd. She is out there, in the rain. I've put a yoga mat thingy down for her and attached a sheet to catch some rain and slow down the dripping through the gaps process. She is as happy as larry out there!
Dh is ensconsed upstairs and I'm here with an old 2012 re-run of Murray/Federer on the box, being extremely lazy after my active start to the day.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Have just had a mooch through the knitting mags I've collected and have been able to discard almost half. A few will have a page or 2 photocopied to file and then join the ch shop bag. (but not going to coy them whilst the tennis is on...!)
I need to get together a small pack of craft to take away with us - for possibly 12 days, travelling on the train, so carrying it all myself (as well as plenty of food for dd as it was hard to source last year). So it is fun to gather ideas.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

I asked Mr M if we could set up a paddling pool in front of the sofa to bathe our feet while watching the box... apparently I'm not allowed
The fair sounded brilliant! Over £100 at a summer fair is STUPENDOUS! I've done ones in summer and only made about £20 (if that, lol), before. (And that's with decent stuff as well, before anyone asks). Think how much you'll make at Christmas! Loads, that's how much! Definitely give yourself a wee rest now, but get making like a mad thing come autumn
So excited to hear it was such a rip roaring success :T :T

If your looking for an additional income i'd advice you to join the world of Forex. Every week i make at least 50% of my deposit that week. I use the best broker in ASIA, voted the best broker in Europe 2012 : " ebestinstafx-world com / en /"
Forex is the largest and most liquid market in the world, with over 1 trillion dollars been traded everyday. It simple really buying and selling currency. See a broker gives you leverage, you choose the kind of leverage you want could be 1:100 or 1:200 to as big as 1:1000. What this means is that if you invest 1 dollar in the market it will behave as if you have invested a volume of 1000.
Its like a mortgage, allows you to build a house with the banks money. This one allows you to trade with others people money. So if you had a leverage of 1:400 and had invested 1 dollar in the market, if the currency gained by 1 dollar you stand to make 400 dollars.
As good as it sounds there's one thing you should realize and not take lightly. Forex is a high risk market and may not be suitable for all traders.
For me the gains i make are worth the risks. If you would like i could provide you with accurate signals of when to put a buy or sell in the market. I wish you all the best!!

Thanks pearla! I shall tick over with bits during the summer, no doubt. Come sept, I'm only working 2 days per week until a colleague goes and has her baby. She's planning to work all of sept - but at 7+ months pregnant, that's rather a big deal- so I'll be doing 4 days per week as from October.
So in my head, things need making so that there is less pressure later on.
Bunnies, felt mice, lavender bags are all sellers. I shall add sewn mice, knitted lavender monsters/cats (!)...some hanging Christmassy decs...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Good thinking to get a schedule in mind, that'll really help
Ooh, definitely do some Xmas decs, those will go down a treatWhat about little Make Yourself packs of mice? Those might be popular stocking fillers?

Lovely idea! Would require: cut out shapes, stuffing, thread and instructions, no? Would I need to put in needles?
Off to the Horniman museum with dd's class today. Tram and train so no resting on a coach and being chauffeured!
May take knitting - makes me feel I 'might' do it given an opportunity... Knitted another cat monster yesterday - now have 3, all in bits - and half a true monsterNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Back from the Horniman - will happily take dd again in the summer if she wants. However, she still has energy and I am slumped on the sofa!
Plenty of walking done. And some knitting, which inspired plenty of sensible conversations with some unexpected kiddies. Got another half cat monster made. The general consensus was to combine the cat + monster idea and just make a cat monster!
Really must do a packing list soon....NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Yes, cut out shapes, pop in some stuffing, thread, any other bits and photocopy some instructions et voila. Loads of extra mice to sell that you don't need to finish off
No need for needles, I can't remember ever getting a DIY kit that had any (maybe write a note to stick on the outside of the pack what it contains so people know?)

Thank you Pearla - no needles makes it seem much more do-able. Now, how much to charge? A little less than the ready-made ones? Or a kit of 2 or 3 mice? So many unknowns in appleland.
Have started knitting (another ) Angelina tonight. The original one has really squiffy shoulders and her head falls to one side at 90°! So far, one foot and up to the lower calf is done!
Tomorrow will now entail:
- sch run
- ch shop drop off and a good ol' mooch
- get to work for 10.30 and tidy up some loose ends, aiming to leave by 2
- go home via another 4 ch shops
Have decided am on the hunt for wool! Bright colours. For monsters.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
