Royal Mail - has anyone noticed more issues lately?

Hi guys,
Just wondered if anyone has noticed more missing parcels/letters sent with Royal Mail lately. We have an online business and send out a lot of small priced items so get proof of postage but not recorded post as it would double the sale price.
I have always had a small percentage of items reported as not received and have claimed from Royal Mail for compensation. Lately I seem to be having a lot more than usual. Two of my regular customers have told me that they have had several parcels/letters not arrive from different sellers.
I know Christmas is coming so more post will be going out and ultimately getting lost but it is a lot more than this time last year. Just wondered if anyone else had noticed an increase?

I'm only a private seller selling off lots of items over the past few months due to downsizing, but have been very lucky in that only one small item has been lost in transit out of the hundreds of things I must have posted. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
Noticing something similar recently, usually only get one or two INR per month, but getting 2 or 3 a week at the moment. I've changed to a different font on my labels to see if that makes any difference.0

Luckily I have not noticed any increase in lost items- so fingers rossed it stays that way.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I haven't had anything go missing, but it's definitely been slow over the last few weeks. I have had 8 first class parcels (not ebay thankfully) take a fortnight to get to their destination. I assumed that maybe everyone is starting their shopping early this year and there is a backlog.0

Thanks guys, I should have mentioned I had a letter (at home) from Royal Mail telling me that they would be changing my deliveries and making more deliveries through the day and they may arrive later in the day. I was wondering if the reshuffle was having a negative effect.
Has anyone else had one of these letters?
It is a real worry to me, I hate letting customers down and what with the proposed strikes, it could be a nightmare.0 -
I have had several small parcels go missing in the past month.
One from China and one from the UK. Gone without a trace.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
We get a couple of deliveries on some days now, but I did not get any info about it.
I have not had an INR for ages - in fact can't remember the last one, that's sending out around 300 parcels a month...0 -
Posted six parcels over two weeks ago. Two are still not delivered. One to London and one to Bristol. I have a tracking number which doesn't provide any tracking at all - it just tells me if the parcel has been delivered - except they're not delivered. These are well-wrapped carefully addressed (in permanent ink) items. Wondering what happens to things that go missing in the post?I am the Cat who walks alone0

I've noticed a creeping increase in the smaller large letters we send. Nothing dramatic but enough to make me take notice. A few second class sent last Friday have not arrived yet, they usually arrive Monday..0

That is a standard letter sent to any home from an office having a revison
the same pricess that happens in every office all over the UK at various points
It makes little difference to office clearance outwith offices where they completely c@ck it up and it goes to meltdown0
