hi all,
how do you know when your just down and grumpy or actually bit depressed??
i know the weather is making me feel rubbish but not sure if its the run up to christmas with the mamoth list of things to do/buy/get done which is making me feel like this.
I currently work full time, study, run the house, take loopsy to her bits and bobs she does and it never ends. My hubby does try but he will need to be asked to do things which by the time i have asked i may as well do it myself lol
is anyone else feeling bit low at the min?

I find that if i'm in a grump it normally goes in a day or two but real depression will last a lot longer and in my case, it overshadows the things I have to be grateful for.
3 months off the anti depressants and i'm still smiling (almost)

Time of year ? I sometimes feel like this after Xmas..
But, i don't have an OH to help, i'm a single mum who works full time, i don't let it get me down, i prefer to be on my own to be honest. I used to get worked up if my ex didn't help, now if things don't get done, they don't get done ! I don't stress over it, he tended to make things worse if i'm honest as i was resentful of his complete lack of action when it came to all the Xmas stuff.
Don't put too much pressure on yourself, do what you HAVE to do, everything else can wait !0 -
Hi,
Yes, I am right there with you. Dd is acting up, I'm a single parent, no family to support me, DD's dad is as useful as a butter fire guard. I work full time. I requested to reduce my hours at work as felt DD not seeing much of me would obviously impact on her behaviour, work said no.
I'm skint, I feel like I can't stop doing anything as I have to work to provide, have to tidy the house, have to cook meals, have to do the shopping etc or else it won't get done.

i seriously thought i may be cracking up, i have done a list of what needs to be done etc by christmas, the bday list (9 birthday in december !!!!!!) and a list of stuff ive got to complete for my studies. Think i am just going to try to do 3 things a week and if its done its done if not tough.
i to feel like i dont see my LO and when i do i just get the moaning tired half hour before bed which neither of us enjoy.0 -
I feel like this in January, it really gets me down every year. Not really this side though I suppose I focus on the time off I get over Christmas. Money gets me down though. Feel like I wait for everything these days. Wait to go home when I get to work, wait to get paid, wait to Christmas, wait to my debts paid off.0

Speak to your GP, he may be way hotter than your O/H and all women want to be with a doctor...like George Clooney in ER.

Oh forgot to mention work won't let me have Christmas off (first Christmas I won't spend with dd in 6years) and I don't have any childcare to cover this either so that's another lovely issue wok have left me with...no wonder I'm stressed!

Don't get your hopes up. Mine's nothing to write home about.
Depression is something that is more long term. It doesn't really go away. if you're talking about something that you've been feeling for weeks rather than days, then see your doctor. Or just talk to someone you trust."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -

And may be to put a smile on your face, you should get a Christmas Jumper and wear it around the house starting next week. Should work and you will feel much better, and will be warm also!

We have some very cute and cosy ones. See on Christmas Jumper King.
Cheer up!
