LAND REGISTRY data finally shows FALLS in House Prices
Comments
-
Mixed results for flats in Gloucestershire. All show growth for the year, but about half show a drop for the last quarter. Cotswolds down -9.7%, Forest of Dean + 21.6%. Only 37 and 32 sales for those respectively. Cheltenham - 2.4% and Stroud +1.5%.
With all the properties bundled then there's annual growth for all local areas, but Forest of Dean has had a 11.7% fall in the last quarter.Happy chappy0 -
I don't mean to be rude *ahem* but the numpties raising a beer glass to house price inflation of 10%+ clearly need their heads examined.
You either price out an entire generation of people who you're expecting to pay your pension (they won't cos they won't have any money), or you're merely making a correction even more likely.
In my area prices FELL 10% in 2005/6, rose 10% in 2006/7 and have fallen 3% in the last quarter.
I make that a total fall of 3% in the last 2.5 years.

I am not sure what this means, it appears to be comparing apples and pears.
In the city I live in we have rich areas and poor areas so it obviously depends on the mix of sales from these in a particular period eg it is showing a reduction overall of 3% but an increase in flat prices of 15% over the last 3 months this is plainly a function of the type of properties sold.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -
Statistics, funny old beggars aren't they, phlash, I just tried Bournemouth and came up with different figures to the ones you've posted there, and as you've been posting A-C I thought I would try Bournemouths neighbouring town in the conurbation, Christchurch :-

<snip>
I am not expecting anyone to provide my pension, I am pessimistic and expect nothing from whatever government are in charge of the purse strings when I retire.
I choose to 'Do for me' and leave the wannabe's to fight it out amongst themselves.Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0 -
