Mortgage advice needed

The broker has to have given you an IDD.
Send them an email saying i believe you should have given me an IDD, i do not have one could you send me a copy (this will then give you a paper trail).
Then make a complaint.
You should not have to do this, you have picked a useless broker and some times the thought of a complaint will give them a kick up the backside.
You have paid them £500, why do you feel like your in the wrong for chasing them? They are putting you in the position of having to chase them up! Its the broker who is at fault, not you.
Send the email, if you have not had it within an hour call them up. If you dont get it go in to the branch and kick up a fuss - be loud and annoying. If the broker is with someone go over and say avoid this broker like the plague, im having to come into the branch in order to get an update. Show him what being a pain in the !!! is really like.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Thank you, I will get onto them now and see how fast they decide to move!! Fingers crossed there is someone who will lend to us, this process is torture!0

Ok, phone calls made so hoping to move this a bit. Still no news from skipton but from all the info I have read and advice received I don't think we are going to get a high street mortgage. Can any brokers please throw a few names at me as to an lenders that are more lenient on criteria. To re-cap.
Earnings 83,000 NET

Where are the earnings from? Employed? Contract?
You need to gross figure, not the net.
You will not get brokers throwing lender names around as this can be seen as giving advice.
Your current broker appears to be slinging mud int he hope some sticks unfortunately.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. As GMS says giving names could be seen as advice or at least leading. As its a heavily regulated industry its impossible for us to do that.
I would be inclined to tell your broker you want your £500 back and give them a list of reasons (including not providing an IDD, not delivering a good service, not delivering good advice and that you will be making a formal complaint and taking it to the financial ombudsman (FOS) if you do not get your money back - they will have to pay for the complaint and the lack of IDD could give them more problems with the FOS).
I would go and find another broker i think as this will be difficult to do without a broker, the most difficult bit being the late payment on the mortgage, everything else should be easy enough to overcome.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Employment is a contract, OH has been working for them for 20 months, contracted until age 65. Wages put down as net as this is how they appear as they are not paid by UK company but paid into UK bank account, all above board.0

ACG will no mainstream lenders lend because of 1 late payment on mortgage, it was late not missed, next payment made beginning of month, so literally a couple of weeks will have no late payments in 12 months.0
-
I wouldnt say that. There are 1 or 2 who it appears to meet the criteria of - at least on the basis of the adverse.
The contract im not sure about based on the info you have just added but i still think you should be able to get a mortgage either with a high street lender or a small building society somewhere, either way the rates are not going to be astronomical and im surprised your broker is being so difficult about it.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Where does OH work? In the UK? Do they pay UK tax?
How old are they now?
What is the job?I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
