Does order confirmation mean I have passed credit check?

Have ordered a new phone from Mobiles Direct and have got an email confirming order.

Does this mean I have passed credit check or do they do that overnight/tomorrow and then process order?

Usually it does.

The dealers I use immediately confirm the order, but that doesn't mean you get the contract. That email can arrive hours later.

no i dont think so i tried to get a contract with that online shop once got a email confirming then anothe one a few hours later stating it was cancelled becase of the credit check

Well haven't heard anything today unfortunately - order still shows as 'order pre-pending' which has changed from 'pending - new order' so hopefully all is well!
