I think the vouchers over the Christmas period when they need to limit the footfall are probably random.


In the longer term - as I've mentioned some time ago and as someone a few posts above has mentioned they are likely to be using it to pull a few new shoppers through the door!


John Lewis are an established, trusted brand with lots of already very loyal shoppers that they don't need to reward as they'll shop there anyway.


Just speculating but it's a high certainty.

hi all i got my tote bag this morning and it is a lovely white one with monty and mabel on ethier side hehe. id be quick. john lewis isnt allowed to show us the design and i know why. most penguin stuff is sold out .

I decided to query why I hadn't received any drink/cake vouchers, or even a discount voucher, and have received confirmation from customer services that any discounts/vouchers are selected at random and will be based around individual shopping requirements.

Is 'based around individual shopping requirements' random? Doesn't seem to be a definate answer still.
