The man in front of me in the queue this morning didn't get any cake just the drink, the lady on the till told him he could get a cake and he said he didn't want one so she then put his toast through for free instead which I thought was nice; guess the toast is cheaper but she didn't have to do that.

Whether or not they do check usage, I don't think it needs someone to key in anything. They could scan the 2-dimensional bar code, also on the back of the voucher as I assume this includes the JL card number.

A good john lewis haul considering the free tickets to JL's Blackheathfestival last week.

I've only had two vouchers - one for July and one for August but was unable to use either, now I've had the £5 off voucher. I was hoping to try tea and cake at least once!

I got a reward letter with two vouchers one for cake and the other for cake or an exclusive John Lewis tote bag for free. Said they will let us know more about the bag in an email around the date of the voicher

Same for me today. I've only bought 1 item recently for £25.

I got the two cake and drink vouchers, but my sister got the £5 off £50 spend voucher. Neither of us have bought anything from John Lewis, the only difference between us is that she signed up several months after I did.
