Received a JL mailing today - which only contained a £5 of a £50 spend. no drink and cake vouchers for me this time
Out of interest - the people that only recd a money off voucher - do you spend a lot in John Lewis already? Just wondering if they've perceived you to be a high spender?
Unless they are doing it by the amount of vouchers people have already received?
My first batch contained 6 tea & cake vouchers
My second back 3 tea & cake vouchers
My third batch 2 tea & cake vouchers (or the choice of a tote bag instead of tea & cake on one of the vouchers).0 -
I have the £5 off voucher. No I don't spend much - usually because I forget my card and use the OHs. However, he has received nothing at all£2 Savers club £0/£150

A few pages back there was discussion about a perceived reduction in the size of the carrot cake which I noticed too.
I was in the Oxford Street Place to Eat yesterday afternoon and the slice was enormous (three layers of sponge) though there was no marzipan carrot on top. I think the Victoria sandwich and chocolate cake offerings were also massive.0 -
I'll be trying the chocolate cake next time.0

It's interesting that there doesn't seem to be much of a trend to it.
Maybe the people who received drinks and cakes vouchers will only get a money off voucher next time and vice versa? Or maybe it is as they said to control the footfall of traffic into their restaurants in the run up to Christmas.
Had my Pot of tea and Apple & Blackberry cheesecake this morning - I will miss this monthly treat if they take it away from me.
I noticed the customer id code printed on the back of the vouchers but I'm sure nobody physically sits keying all the used vouchers into the database otherwise they'd put a barcode on & ask for your card.0
