It certainly seems that anybody who has made a purchase this year has not received replacement vouchers after their previous allocation ran out. It's a shame, but it was good while it lasted.

I spent money = no vouchers. My daughter didn't buy anything = vouchers.

I would like to know how it's decided. I don't feel I have a "right" to them at all, they are a perk, but I'd be interested to know how their system works.

I'm another one who has made a lot of purchases as they were needed, camera for my daughter's Birthday, new laptop for DH, dress and handbag for other daughter's university graduation as well as some bedding and holdalls, I've been rather busy spending :o. Now I would have bought these items from JL before the voucher offer so I'm not losing anything but I do feel slightly cheated, I know I shouldn't as it's a free gift. I guess there's bigger stuff in life to worry about so I mustn't grumble.

Well, I've made a couple of purchases at JL in 2014 and I've just got my latest vouchers... maybe I'm just very lucky!

I've spent quite a bit over the last 6 months and have received vouchers up until August. Its a great freebie and I don't spend when I'm there, I only ever buy online.

Hope you don't mind me butting in but I have just received my vouchers for August, September and October.
I bought a sewing machine for £90 ish in May this year (a really good price) but still got the vouchers. I have wondered whether my lack of proximity to their stores (20 miles each way) may have influenced me getting vouchers in a hope of drawing me in rather than me shopping elsewhere (closer to home) but that may be a load of tosh!

Point taken, but surely it can't be completely random or meaningless...can it?!

If the things everyone is posting on here is anything to go by, apparently so!

So far no one from JL has categoricly said that there will only be vouchers given to those that have spent money with JL within recent history. I know of people who have spent nothing and people who have spent a fair amount and yet both have vouchers. On this thread the same seems to be so. People have said they have emails hinting at relating spending to vouchers but it is very vague and I don't think says either way that they have changed the scheme.

JL prides itself on its excellent customer service and it is also a business. I don't think it would forgo letting people know the voucher scheme had changed or ended, firstly because of it's commitment to good customer service and it being a bad idea to not let customers know or find out by a third party (and I wouldn't be suprized if they were to keep tabs on this thread as a result). I think they would let people know very clearly the new voucher scheme outlines.
But also because JL is a business and requires customers visit and spend at the store in order to make a profit and so survive, that they would ignore a very good chance to give customers enough warning so they could visit the store to increase footfall and buy with them (and promote their never-knowingly-undersold offer, the card itself and other instore offers).
