I am away on holiday right now but will definitely look into finding a good place for a quality back massage. I do have ongoing back problems (slight scolliosis and a bit of a curvature) so need someone who knows what they are doing.

Do not be afraid to ask what a therapist's training and qualifications are. I'd say avoid 'beauty parlour' type places and maybe look at gyms - although having said that my 'fallback' place is a beauty parlour, but the therapists are well qualified.

I agree with Sue, the permanent damage that can be done to nerve roots by the wrong pressure in the wrong place is unbelievable. I doubt a GP would advise anything other than a qualified physiotherapist where a degree of scoliosis is involved.

I bought a zojirushi fuzzy logic rice cooker. It is amazing, I have oatmeal porridge ready when we get up and it is cooking a superb vegetarian dish now, quinoa with chard, courgette and sour cherries. I made that with kale yesterday, it was so good. I made apple sauce in it earlier. It is a fab item and I wish I had bought this same model years ago, expensive but it means we are eating better, especially at teatime. I have made rice puding and brown rice, all a doddle and superb but I have yet to explore the ultimate rice cooker book, which is full of very attractive (to me) recipes for one pan meals

I have just treated us to another zojirushi product, absolutely non essential but an `I want` after reading reviews. A hot water boiler and dispenser, that one is coming from singapore via momorice. I love green tea and often cannot be bothered making it, hence me getting one with a 70 degree temperature setting, one of 3 temperatures. I will have duties to pay and have accounted for them

My first ever bread maker was zojirushi and it lasted for years and years
