    Belated Birthday wishes Sistercas

Having a very slow start here at the moment. Had a lovely weekend visiting with DD in Brighton, Saturday was warm and sunny and we walked for miles. Sunday morning got an early alarm call as the hotel's fire alarm went off ay 5.30 am!

Am very proud of DD, she is budgeting her money well, cleaning the house and working hard at Uni.

Very tired now, OH is at home as his lorry is in the garage and he has done loads of housework already (he is used to getting up at 4am) I am about to jump in the shower and get down to work in my office - absolutely loads to do.

Lamb in the slow cooker for dinner tonight, will have with all the normal roast accompaniments.

Well I better get going, (((hugs))) wherever needed, have a great day.x

Luxor - hope you start feeling better soon!

    Good morning,

I am late today, been tootling about doing things. I've booked Snoop-Cat in for his jabs tomorrow, Frog to have her hair cut in Thursday morning and dispatched DH to have the car tracking checked and then to do the weekly shop.

In turn I have tidied and cleaned the kitchen following last nights roast, emptied and re-filled the dishwasher, got a wash on and after a cuppa I'm about to tackle the front room fireplace that hasn't been cleaned out since we had a fire in it last week :eek:

Today Frog and I are hoping to meet up with a Mum and son from our NCT group, we still see each other regularly which is nice :) and then DH will be leaving for work at about 4pm so I have to ensure he has some dinner to take with him (Lasagne today) and then later on Frog will go into the bath and then bed.

I might then drag out my sewing machine, the advent calendar I was working on for Frog won't be finished for this Christmas as there is too much work to be done in the time allowed to 1st December so I might have a little play with a table runner I was thinking about for my sister instead.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all, well it is just.

JulieGeorgiana what a beautiful baby girl you have there. You must be so proud! None of mine had hair and what fine hair they did have rubbed off within weeks of birth.

Not much to add from me today. The weekend was quiet as the house was empty apart from me and the 'Girls'.

Household chores all completed. Not sure what i'm doing for tea yet. Ive got some duck I want to finish off so I'll probably use that.

The house has never been so empty.

    Have a good day all,

    Hi all,

I'm late today, I needed to get up and doing today so I stayed off the laptop this morning. Talking of laptops, does anyone else get sore fingers from using the mousepad? Maybe I'm just peculiar.

    JG what a cutie!

I cooked a ham yesterday so I made soup this morning and took a care package over to DS and GF, they work such long hours that they often can't be bothered to cook and eat take aways. GFs parents were there doing the (paid for) cleaning so I stayed for a bit of a natter.

I also took some towels to the vet, I'd been given them and didn't need them so I passed them on. They have a large RSPCA cage which always has kittens for adoption in it. They are very cute, but I'm not tempted, being a dog person but DS and GF want to get one, they're just a bit afraid that their present cat might not be happy about it.

I need to sew again this afternoon, I've got so much to do before Christmas. I made an intricate star patchwork quilt for DD a little while ago and she said yesterday that her gay best friend would like to commission me to make something similar for him. I'm happy to do it (after Christmas) but I shall only charge for the materials - they take such a long time that it's a labour of love rather than a way to make money.

    Good Morning,

I hope everyone had a great weekend :)

MIL arrived yesterday for the week, she did the ironing last night, which was just lovely and so appreciated :)

Today Daisy has her day 3 midwife check, and my parents are coming for their first visit. I have to get the washing done today, and if I get the chance I need to rinse all the baby girl clothes which belonged to DD1. In there was a red pair of Daisy Duck PJs which say 'Baby Daisy' on it! How cute :)

Dinner tonight I hope will be Chicken Korma Curry (I defrosted chicken on thursday night for DH birthday meal so cross fingers it's not turned)

Hope everyone has a great day x

Off to make tea, chicken potato slices and brocoli in a garlic and cream sauce

    Enjoy your evening everyone xx

Didn't get time to post this morning as hubby is on the early shift & we were at work for 6:30.
My shopping delivery hasn't turned up yet, I hope it's not too late as I need an early night, my eye's been twitching since I got up this morning.
DD has her first scan tomorrow, fingers crossed it's all ok.
Back to the knitting for me.
    Have a good evening everyone

Julie G what an absolute sweetie I bet you can't stop looking at her.may she grow up in a more peaceful world than we have at the moment .Bless she looks a little cutie :):):)

Well I saw the nice lady dentist and she removed all six of the stitches as she said its high time they came out She also cleaned the gap and squirted some stuff on it to help.I have another course of anti-biotics to ensure the infection clears up and fingers crossed it will help.I have to go back next Monday afternoon if I'm still having trouble and she will inject something else into the site !!!The numb lip she said should clear up in 6-8 weeks and if it doesn't then its back there for more treatment .Fingers crossed all will be better by then.

I got to DDs at just before 3 and was met by DGS Ben grinning like a cheshire cat, he got a Uni offer for his second choice last week at Ruskin, Cambridge which was great, and this week he got via email his first choice offer which is for University of East Anglia at Norwich and he is walking on air as its the one he really wants to get into.I am so pleased for him as I know he had set his heart on Norwich. Now he just has to graft away for the next six months to get his grades and he will be a very happy chappy :):):).
Dds little car has sadly gone to the scrap heap in the sky and she is considering leasing for awhile as it seems to be a better option for her at the moment.

Tomorrow I have my U3A coffee morning which is great for a good chinwag and tomorrow night its quiz night at the pub.

Its a life of excess for this old woman at the moment as Wednesday I'm off to the theatre with my eldest DD :):)
Who said retirement was boring :) I don't have time to be bored :):)
I'm off to delve in the fridge for dinner now
have a great evening whatever you are doing
    Cheers JackieO xxx
