Euro Car Parks (Scotland)

I have 3 outstanding private parking charge notices from Euro Car Parks for overstaying my welcome in a free supermarket car park.
It is Scotland and I am the registered keeper.
Having read recent forum material, the advice for Scotland still seems to be ignore, which I have followed.
However, can anyone advise me what how likely or not it will be that Euro will take me to the Sheriff Court on a civil claim?

Here's their record in England and Wales - work out your chances from this.

The chances of them pursuing court action are 0.00000000001%
(I won't say zero).
Just search this forum for Scotland.0 -
Next to no chance of any real action being taken in Scotland, so just keep ignoring unless you see a properly issued court papers - but don't hold your breath!0

Hi folks.
After hearing nothing from Euro Car Parks for more than 6 months, I got a letter today from Gladstones saying that if I don't pay up my file will be passed to a Scottish legal expert for court action, threatening me with costs and credit difficulties etc.
Any chance of me being taken to court I. Scotland? I've not replied to any correspondence and made no admissions.0 -
Then keep quiet - this is all to be expected.0

Thanks. I honestly thought it had gone away. 6 months is a long time to hear not a cheap.0

Nothing should surprise you in PPC-world. Hold your nerve, don't get involved in any exchanges, see what they might come up with next.
Could be interesting to see their next substantive move. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

No, they often come back with a few letters around that point and recently one PPC has been coming back with letters after a couple of years - but we have never seen a poster here hit with a live court action in Scotland and the only successful private parking-related action in a Scottish court in recent years was a very different kettle of fish and not raised by any PPC.0

I sold the car in March! I've been careful since late last year not to get any more notices after a careless spell of overstaying due to various stresses on my mind. Ive not transgressed since last year. Feel its all come back to haunt me.0

I would be the total opposite to you. Knowing I can't get chased through the courts, I wouldn't worry about any minor overstays any more if I lived in Scotland.Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking.
