  • Morning everyone.
hope everyone is well. hugs/vibes of all kinds to all that need/want them.
    LO is eating breakfast
his school clothes are waiting for him
myself and DP had a little chat last night ... i feel better for getting everything out in the open ... although still trying to get my head around the idea that if it was up to DP this will probably be my last pregnancy ... :( ... we've both kind of said 'never say never' but DP has said he will be happy at 2 ... its weird cuz i always imagined at least 3 and maybe even 4 ..... we will see !

off to see what i can get done before getting ready to take LO 'see' you all later x

If it helps at all going from 1 to 2 is the hardest transition! Adding in a 3rd was relatively simple (and I've got a stupid set of age gaps - 16 months and 21 months!) And all 3 were C. sections!

  • This morning I am under pressure to right a wrong (with the help of my credit card!) going back almost 10 years to when DD1, DD2 and DD3 were much much younger. A certain boy band were just finishing their tour and were adding an extra date for charity (Band Aid/Live Aid 20). A member of the band was well publicised that he was going to leave once the 3 album deal contract was up, and it had been announced the 3rd album was actually a cop out so, the band would split in its current format and that charity concert would be the last chance saloon to see them.

EX refused to listen and said there would be other chances to see them and the chance was lost and played out as predicted. DD1 never quite got over it and shut down from a happy go lucky pre teen to a mini adult not wanting or desiring anything and expecting disappointment. DD2 and DD3 were upset and bitterly disappointed at the time, but bounced back.

Being the hermit that I am even online, I am not upto speed with current events, let alone the happenings in the music world.

Well that boyband has formed a supergroup with one they gave a helping hand to back in the day, and because I having been living on another planet they have announced a sell out tour. Purely by chance I happened to find out after the horse has bolted, and now on the precipice as extra tour dates go live at 9 am this morning. I need to prevent history repeating itself, we are going to have to go at a sensible price (not any ticket shark/thieves prices)

no "FAT FINGERS" allowed, I need to be as precise as I can be as I will only get one shot at this. DD1 doesn't want to go for fear of the can of worms it will open, the mere thought of possibly getting a ticket has got DD2 and DD3 so excited, I am fully expecting a phone call from DD3's school with some fool's errand just so DD3 can see me and find out if I got them or not...

Wish me luck  and no fat finger vibes :rotfl:

Monday - Rooms of Doom (that'll be Dining Rooms then :rotfl:) and downstairs loos and the Study/Computer Room/Guest Bedroom

    Extras
Mid month check of bank accounts
Do you need to submit gas/elec readings? It's dark now but I will do that tomorrow :rotfl:

Spent 2 hours [STRIKE]tidying[/STRIKE] de-gibble-ing the study/computer room/guest room, which has become a kind of indoor shed. With a bit more effort I might be able to hoover in there at a sensible hour :) DD1 or DD2 will be living in there over Xmas so it needs to be habitable again very soon.

Skinty's Toots list for today (and the rest of this week til done)

Get the top bunk in DD4's room clear of gibble and made up
Make a duplicate Spice Kit for DD1 to take back to Uni at Xmas
    waiting for stamps
Work out my debts for this month - once I have worked out what I need to slam on it
make a Sausage Dog or similar for drafty front door
Sort out the "Man Drawer" in the kitchen and re-stock
    Clean up builders mess (plaster and paint splatters) in hallway in 15 minute chunks [STRIKE]x1 x2 x3 x4 x5 x6 x7 x8 x9 x10 x11 x12[/STRIKE] til done
clean cooker hood and replace filters
    do DD3 roots at home
find an empty picture hooks to hang it on buy stamps and post
Take battery pot to recycling when I go to pharmacy or dump next

    [/Toots list]
The cold never bothered me anyway

    Feeling a bit down today.
It's DD1's 18th birthday :j but finances haven't allowed me to give the gifts I wanted to :( I had to go through the photo albums looking for baby pictures to post on [EMAIL="f@ceb00k"]f@ceb00k[/EMAIL], seeing loads of pictures of her biological was surprisingly upsetting :(

I've heard nothing from Mr O&O which isn't surprising but it is the first time I've actually felt f***ing used!
I have the horrible doctor this morning, going with my mum, he's less horrible if she's there.
Then I'm spending the morning at my parents having help from my mum to get Mr O&O's jumper done  If I ever say I'm going to make a picture jumper again someone please stop me!!

Girls beds stripped last night, one load washed in the evening and tumbled over night, another washed overnight, now in TD and another load in the WM
DD2 annoyed me this morning by asking if she school trousers were washed, "I put them in the basket at the weekend"
I did all the dark wash on Friday, which was none school uniform for children in need, isn't my fault the trousers were left on the bedroom floor Thursday night! Told her to wear her school skirt.
She then starts asking DD1 if she can borrow her black trousers. DD1 said no as she'll need them for her work placement on Wednesday. Queue DD2 having a strop, going and putting her skirt on and stropping to school.
Just going to load the DW and put washing on airer then off to my parents
  • skinty - fingers crossed!

re November change - 4 bags of stuff we no longer need (mainly bedding - I've had a big sort) was collected this am by BHF.

So I am doing better than I did on the personal challenge before mum got diagnosed and the brown stuff hit the fan!

DS has promised to do a tip run next weekend - will have to sort a list as I will be at mum's...
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j

    I've been Money Tipped!
Its been a long time since I flew. I'm in.
  • :rudolf:
Thanks for the list Dusty, I'm in too.

    Good luck Skinty.

Sending hugs to WendyWitch, kids eh!

I'm in again this week. OH is away again so there's no excuse for idling. The place is looking pretty good except for a few minor hot spots which I've got in my sights already. I'm defrosting my fridge freezer so it's swaddled in old towels to catch the iceburgs as they thaw.
