Natwest are replacing their 084 customer service number with a local rate number at the end of this month, so that it is included within your mobile allowance minutes.
Customer complaints will also now be free.

Their standard 01/02 numbers have always been easy enough to find.0

Intriguingly they're one of the few who make their "international" number an 0870 number, making calling it actually more expensive. Thus they make it actually harder to find than most banks, who have an 01/02 number on the back of their cards.
I think this can be ascribed to NatWest being a sh*t organisation.
Good thing the complaints line's free. I predict that'll save a lot of people a packet...urs sinserly,

You could always call natwest telephone banking anyway on a 01/02 number and the compliants number has always been a free phone number too.
More details of the said change can be viewed here:

I've found Natwest to be far behind the times when it comes to 01/02 numbers. Nearly every other bank has had these numbers readily available for some time.
As has been said, their cards use a '+44870' premium-rate number as the international number.
As does the complaints section of their website.
In fact, without going to https://www.saynoto0870.com, I don't have a clue where Natwest publicise an 01/02 number.
(Although for complaints I find the online form is the most effective way of getting a decent resolution.)0 -

Why is it too much work to go to saynoto0870? It's one of the first things I do when opening a bank account.0

The fact that they make it necessary to use saynoto0870 when no other bank* does is a significant point against them.
Especially when, if someone actually IS overseas then according to NatWest they'll have to call an even more expensive 0870 number for help, whereas most banks offer a geographic option. That's poor. Really poor. Especially since a good number of people calling from overseas will be doing so in circumstances where they need help.
(I really don't like NatWest.)
*tell a lie, Santander and the Co-op don't publicise their international numbers either.urs sinserly,

You do that. I do that. It's sensible, and saves money.
Unfortunately, most of the population don't go out of their way to hunt down an 01/02 number.
Whilst most banks present their 01/02 number alongside their 08 number, making it easy for customers to call/complain cheaply, Natwest has continued to keep the cheap numbers quiet, pushing the more expensive (for most) 0845 numbers.0 -

You can't ring those numbers from a UK landline but they work perfectly from a mobile.0 -

Yes you can, just drop the +44 and replace with a 0 :-
0151 2648725 is the Liverpool code.
01908 237963 is the Milton Keynes code.
