It's likely that OP will be moved to measures to terminate employment with regards to capability which will be significantly cheaper than the costs of putting a lift in.
A few years ago, we had a lift installed at where I worked with automatic doors/pressure pads and we could claim the whole cost back from DWP/Access to work. Has this been got rid of?0 -

Yes and I've had £300 in donations so far. It goes via PayPal so they take their cut.
I've been able to pay for brakes for my Wheelchair and have a Ramp built with donations.
It's just a way of Fund Raising without me being a charity

I would be on to the local newspaper, local MP, local radio, national paper.
And get things moving that way, if you cannot claim, and your work won't pay you, maybe the papers etc can shame some of them in to moving their finger and paying you some thing.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100/100miles

OP, as they've sent you a contract to sign, does it include anything about working somewhere else whilst on their payroll?
If not, I can't see that you would be in breach of contract. In fact, if you are successful at contracting can you then hand your notice in with your current employer? Just a thought, is this what they want?
If you do start contracting, you wouldn't have any personal tax allowance as you don't have a P45 to give to the temp agency. Therefore, you'll pay tax on all your income. It's not the end of the world as you can claim any overpaid tax back at the end of the tax year.
It just says I cant run a Business (I guess AVON etc)
I don't know what they want. I just know they are keeping me at home and preventing me from earning a wage. This is Discrimination arsing from Disability. They knew in April that I would be coming back so they have had months to alter the Building OR Dismiss me.0 -

I thought of that but if it Backfires I'll never get a job again because of the publicity.
MP knows, he has no suggestions0 -

Yes I've offered, but because we archive things (confidential) our Clients wouldn't allow things to leave our secure site to come and sit in my house while I index and scan them.0 -
In which case they should have fired me in April when I came out of Hospital instead of dragging this out for months.bluenoseam wrote: »I'm with Takeaway_Addict - I'm thinking that there's a high chance that installing a lift goes above & beyond reasonable adjustments given the expense & upheaval involved. They say they need me, but are dragging out the process. Meantime I don't get any money to live on that's my beef. If I was able bodied I'd have been back at work.
Offered to work in Reception, but I still wouldn't have a loo to use.0 -

Approximately how much would that amount to, and would that cover all the adjustments (you mention bathroom adjustments being needed also)? How large/ profitable is the company?0
