APPS FOR iphone
Looking for ideas on good APPS for the iphone 5.
Alarm clock function as the one on the iphone 5 is very basic/dull.
A good calculator system
Are there any APPS that will make the iphone easier to use such as shortcuts etc.
where can you download free ring tones from.
regards,
garcon6

Capital letters are normally used for abbreviations (acronyms), not abridgements.
Apps is short for applications.0 -
There are plenty of guides for creating your own free iPhone ringtones from existing sound files, for example:
http://www.switchingtomac.com/tutorials/how-to-convert-an-mp3-or-m4a-file-to-an-iphone-ringtone/
In summary, you need to create an .m4r file using iTunes on a PC and then sync with your iPhone.0 -
Nice clock: Night Stand
Nice calculator: PCalc
However if you need an app to make an iPhone easier to use, I respectfully suggest that smartphones are not really your thing...
What in particular are you struggling with?0 -
no not struggling with the iphone just discovering what i can do.0

Useful apps (in the order they are on my screen):
1. Whats App (messages over wifi)
2. Red Laser (scan the barcode of an item, find where you can buy it cheaper)
3. Viber (like Whats App, but does calls too)
4. Highways Agency Traffic (live traffic information)
5. Tube Status (if you travel on the London Underground)
6. Soundhound (let the phone hear the song, then tell you what it is)
7. DOFMaster (a must for photographers)
8. SportyPal or RunKeeper (record where you walked/ran/cycled)
9. Caskfinder (where's the nearest real ale pub)
10. Pocket Universe (what stars am I looking at)
11. Convert Units (when it's -40 out, is that C or F?)
12. Say No To 0870.
13. Tapatalk (for posting on forums, unfortunately MSE doesn't use it
)
14. BBC iPlayer Radio.
15. Waze (traffic info)
16. Lidl (what's on offer in Lidl over the next few weeks)
17. TuneIn Radio (internet radio around the world)
18. Prey (phone security)
19. TU Go (O2 specific calls/messages over wifi if there's no mobile signal)
...several others, but they are a bit more specific to me.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0
