I would say start small as Rome wasn't built in a day. I'd pick one thing and try that. If that doesn't appeal then try something else. Nobody has everything sorted so don't feel under pressure to get everything looking rosy if you don't feel like it on the inside. I'ts o.k to take some time out.
Hope you find some new hobbies and like minded people.

Just wanted to give you a hug sadkipper, my goodness you have been through the mill. Life can be so unfair at times, and you have my admiration to have got so far with everything you have coped with.
Like others have suggested, I hope that the cancer charities have been supportive to you.
Try to get out and about, what sort of things do you like and go from there?
I went on one of those ghost hunting evenings a little while back, made 3 new friends, was interesting, fun and was a great way to meet people as you are all thrown together for the experience. Might not be necessarily your cup of tea, but think outside the box of just doing 'classes' and you might be surprised what's out there that you like.
I wish you the very best.0 -
You have just made all my problems very small ones...THANK YOU.It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
Thank you for all the comments. I value every thought and contribution. I think I just need to take things slowly and learn to trust people again, I feel so let down by my husband and the way we split was so awful that I feel very worried about meeting new people. On the cancer charity front you would be surprised how easy it is to fall through the cracks, my treatment has been a mix of private and Nhs and I have has no support at all. After 6 mths of chemo and now my surgery it seems late to be asking for help. My one big thing is my amazing surgeon who has coaxed me through this but otherwise it has all been me. I know the help us there I just have not seen how to use it. Tomorrow my mum goes home so I am on my own for around a week until my sister can come and stay. I think I will be ok,
Thank you again for each of your thoughts,

I have a friend who is slightly further on in her cancer journey than you are (so sorry if that's not the right phrasing, I couldn't decide how to put it) and has said the same, in so much as she is a combo of NHS and private and she slipped through all support networks.
She now has (but literally only just) got a McMillan nurse, and from what she has said, I urge you to get in touch with them, as she is apparently invaluable even at this stage.
Your positivity is inspiring, by the way, thank you.0
