What about Warners breaks which are adult only or even Butlins or one of the Grand Hotels ie Scarborough or Llandudno.

On www.flexibletrips.co.uk 3 nights on the 27th dec at the Grand in Scarborough £128pp for b+b or £170pp for hb also try Superbreaks I couldn't the website seemed to be down. Often its cheaper to book with these than going direct. These prices will probably be for a courtyard room so if you want a seaview put a request in then you pay for this at the hotel per night normally.
  • Hi, I lived in Benidorm for 15 years. After the really busy November Fiestas it goes quiet for a few weeks, then gets really busy again for Christmas and New Year. 95% of places will be open. The weather can be lovely during the day, but can get chilly at night in Nov. Dec and Jan.

Whatever you do, have a fab time. If have any specific questions re hotels or bars, let me know.

My Sister thinks getting back 31st to go out at night will be too tiring. Been extensively looking for something in UK, Blackpool, Chester, York or such like from 27th to 30th dec. I find something then discover only double rooms. Preferably entertainment, indoor pool half board Anyone? Looks like anything decent gone. Claremont Blackpool, Mill Chester both ideal but booked

    Options:
    a) Don't go out for the night when you get home on the 31st.
    b) Spend NY Eve in Spain and come back the next day (though maybe not on an early flight)

Hi I went to Benidorm last year in December. The days where lovely but the evenings got really cold.

We didnt tend to wander out at night as our hotel (Flamingo Oasis-brill hotel) was very busy and all inclusive so we just wandered through the day.

I would recommend going at that time of the year as a bit of heat does wonders.

Good luck and have a great time whatever you decide to do. Personally I would go Benidorm as I love it there.

Thanks everyone . Decided on 3 days in York 27th to 30th. Booked Queens hotel on the river half board. I have never been to York. Hoping to go and see Snow White and to Bettys tea room and whatever else may be on at the time (weather permitting)! Thanks again
