Benidorm 27th December

Myself and family care for my Brother with Downs Syndrome. We thought of taking him to Benidorm for 4 days on above day . However, My Brother in Law thinks it will be quiet and not much going on for him (he likes somewhere with entertainment) and thinks we will be better just going to Blackpool or something. Anyone any experience of Benidorm at this time of year? Or any other suggestions where to go (A city break probably no good as he isn't a great walker)
Thanks
Thanks

Benidorm is busy all year round

Your Brother in law has clearly never been to Benidorm. It's full of Brits Abroad all year round, but if that's your cup of tea, go for it.0

Thanks, they are familiar with Benidorm, they go every year for the festival so returned today after a weeks stay. He just heard quiet at that time of year ?0

We've been in December and it's quite lively!
Likely to be more ...ahem ...mature folk about though, both British and Spanish.Normal people worry me.0 -
Thanks. What is the weather like. Although my Sister goes for the festival every Year and my Brother went a few times with our late Mum I have never been. We were looking at the Sol Pelicanos all inclusive. Hoping for some entertainment for him.0

It will be quieter than during the summer and some places may be closed but there will still be plenty of people around and lots to do. I'm not Benidorm's biggest fan but it beats Blackpool any day of the year.0 -
Benidorm for the Christmas holidays will be busy, my mum and dad go for new year every year and stays in the pelicanos with my downs syndrome sister they have a fab time. I don't think there's much entertainment in that hotel as people don't stay in their hotels in Benidorm much for the night entertainment as theres so much going on in the streets of Beni. So if you do go to the pelicanos take into account the difference in price of bb, hb or all inc because if your going out every night for the entertainment it may not be worth doing all inc. When we have booked before the difference in price has been hb is £4 per person per night more than b+b and all inc was £11 per person per night more than hb if that helps.0

Been twice in December. First time the weather was lovely, Tshirts and shorts, second time it was really cold, fleeces and jeans!
They had snow in Madrid that year though and the TV kept showing pictures, it was such an unusual event..so - pack for all eventualities but chances are the weather will be good (check weather pages a few days before you go and pack accordingly).Normal people worry me.0 -
Thanks everyone. My Sister returned from Benidorm Saturday. She is a bit worried about getting back 3pm ish 31st December as tiring travelling and thinks we may be better doing a 3/4 nighter in England somewhere. We live in the North West and I don't mind a bit of a drive. We would need some kind of packaged break where there is something on for my Brother. Any ideas anyone ?0
