Can you read your lease, see what it says.Be happy...;)0

Well it comes to this ultimately, as the landowner/leaseholder did you make any loss by you parking there ? If you made no loss there can be no possible claim (not that ukpc goes there). So just do a soft appeal on these lines
Name
Address
Invoice number
Dear UKPC
As the registered keeper of (reg number), I'm in receipt of your notice to keeper invoice, I wish to invoke your appeals process
The keeper rejects that you have authority to issue these invoices on the parking bay where the vehicle was parked, as I am the leaseholder of the property I have not signed any such document that allows you to access my private land, and I revoke any permission you think you have.
Also on the above, the amount charged does not reflect your genuine pre-estimate of loss, as I don't charge to park vehicles in my own private property. Also the signage is not compliant with the bpa code of practice!
If you reject this appeal, send me a popla verification code so I can cost you £27 + vat to have this cancelled on the above and other points.
Sincerely
IMO: Consider changing to the following:
As the registered keeper of (reg number), I'm in receipt of your notice to keeper invoice and deny any liabilty to pay the parking charge.
The keeper rejects that you have authority to issue these invoices on the parking bay where the vehicle was parked, as I am the leaseholder of the property. I have not signed any such document that allows you to access my private land, and I revoke any permission you think you have. This furthermore constitutes an act of trespass on my private property and any further pursuance of this charge will result in a joint claim for damages and harassment being sought against UKPC and the management company.
The amount charged does not reflect your genuine pre-estimate of loss, as I don't charge to park vehicles in my own private property and the signage is not compliant with the BPA code of practice!
I trust that this now clarifies the situation regarding the above matter and look forward to receiving your written confirmation of cancellation by return for this charge. As any permission to issue parking charges has been revoked by myself as the property owner, please now ensure that my registration number is noted on your list so that no further parking charges are issued.
Should you fail to cancel this charge and reject this appeal on the legal points listed above, then by all means send me a POPLA code for appealing the charge and face the legal consequences of any further action against you.
By the way the only way UKPC can get you to pay this parking charge would be by taking you to court and getting a judge to declare it valid and todate UKPC HAVE NOT ISSUED ANY COURT PAPERS TO ANYONE!:T

You seem to think that the whole point of the scheme is to to have cars displaying permits whereas it's to ensure that only authorised cars are parked & displaying a permit is merely an aid to that management. If it is shown that an authorised car was parked but not displaying a permit why should that be punished with exactly the same fine that would be dished out to an unauthorised car?
So a lesser penalty, but a penalty all the same?
Earlier someone mentioned a key code gateway, I know the keycode to my mate's industrial unit, it doesn't mean I'm authorised to be onsite out of hours, so just because the vehicle is on the one side of the gateway, it is not displaying the permit and that is what the vigilant parking attendant will be looking out for.
I'm not saying that the OP should be punished, however for the sake of displaying the permit as requested, would save a bit of heartache much later, as the old saying goes, prevention is much better than cure.0 -
If the lease makes no mention of this permit, I would do nothing, sit back and hope they issue court proceedings.
If they do, have an absolute field day with a counter claim for flagrant trespass, conduct of unlawful commerce and harassment.
Why waste any time trying to beat down the parking company.
Your land = up to you how and when you park.Be happy...;)0 -
Thing is , there probably was no problem to begin with at this site, then ukpc turned up to cause problems! And as this person is within his rights to opt out of these parking schemes, the suggestion is to do just that. And finally most of these agreements are for common areas of the area, the gated part is not normally part of thatWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. But this is ukpc, they will not issue any claims! If the OP is up to it then sending a couple of letters will see this off nowWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

Again if the lease is clear then tell UKPC to sod off.
To UKPC, re parking charge notice XXX
You have no authority to issue such charges on my land, likewise there is no requirement for me to display any of your permits, and as a result I owe you nothing as your charge is unlawful, you must now either cancel this charge or issue me with a POPLA verification code.
If you chose at your own discretion to continue to ticket my car and issue false parking charge notices i will require a popla verification code for each parking charge notice, this will then be vigorously defended. I am fully aware that this will cost you £27+VAT each time, and the decisions made by POPLA are binding upon yourselves but not on me.
I may also at some point withdraw any right of access to my car parking space which you may think you may have, should you continue after that decision is made I may take action against you for trespass, See RL Davey vs UKPC for more information. From the Plain Language Commission:
