Galaxy S4 mini - battery usage

Just wondered if any other GS4 mini owners are having the same problem with the battery struggling to last a day?

I have a Galaxy S3 mini and my lodger has the S4 full size one. We were both very disappointed with the battery life until about 3 weeks ago when Samsung provided an upgrade/update to download. Since then the battery performance has been much better for both of us. Prior to the change mine had got down to about 30% by this time in the day even though I am a light user. OK i haven't used it much today, just a few texts, but it is still on 81%
Maybe there is no link between the upgrade and the improvement but it is odd that it happened for both of us.

Depends upon what firmware upgraded to.
But yes latest release = better battery life .

During the week when I'm at work and it gets used mainly as a phone I have no issues.

Today I've been browsing and using apps a lot and the battery is down to 25% after being off charge for 13 hours.

I've had worse.
