    how about

A mug and some hot chocolate
    An intial key ring
    some woolly tights
a pair of christmas socks or the nice thick chunky knit type ones
a bath bomb or some bubble bath
Shampoo and conditioner in a smaller size
Something chocolatey from somewhere like hotel chocolate
Some krispy creme vouchers or even a small box of christmas cupcakes.

Its very difficult when schools do the secret santa thing...ans somehow everyone ends up opening very similar presents...the morning is full of generic gift sets or tins of quality street IME...
sometimes ive found that the best presents are those that perhaps have a home made element to them or at least a bit of creativity when wrapping them.

Thank you, some great ideas :) I am usually pretty creative with my gifts, wrap them beautifully, and often have a hamper element to them but for this particular occasion I tend to get something generic and wrap plainly.....I don't want it to be obvious that her present came from the teacher and don't want it to be different (either better or worse!) than what they all get each other.
  • Why don't you do her the mistle toe bags: nice fluffy socks, nail varnish, foot cream or foot masks? You can pick them up cheaply from home bargains or b&m? I've just done one for a friend and it cost me £3.33 :) looks a lot more expensive tho. I think all girls like nice stationery, so think notebook would be cool too.
Does she wear any jewellery? You could pick up some nice but cheap bits in Primark? They also do lots of nail varnishes and make up-y stuff ;)
  • Boots do Soap & Glory bath scrunchies or body wash for £3 - 5.

Bath Bomb cosmetics you could get 2 bath bombs £2.50 each.

Paperchase do the cutest woodland/forest range with a few pens (£1.50) & notepads (£2) coming in at around a fiver.

Savers the chemist have Model & Co lip gloss & mascara sets for a fiver.

Superdrug sell Barry M gelly nail varnishes you could get 2 for a fiver.

Poundland are currently selling OPI nail varnish in 4 or 5 different colours you could team this with their manicure set or hand creams . The 75ml miracle hand therapy cream in Poundland made by Mellor & Russell is amazing, packaged in the same foil tubes as the L'Occitaine and MUCH better quality and value and bigger.

TK Maxx have voodoo dolls slipper socks 2 pack for a fiver.

Wilkinsons have fruit shaped soaps for £1, diaries with the popular fox motif ( this years motif) for a £1, they have a felt owl tree topper for £3 which the soaps fit perfectly inside.

Fragrance direct have a clearance section with 100s of items under a fiver, I use them all the time and theyre fantastic.

Ooh that looks lovely. They are all obsessed with applying lip balm twenty times an hour so something like that should be a good bet!

someone posted this on another thread- a Designer Doodles book for older kids. I got it for my 14 yr old fashion crazed niece, and it's only £2.93, reduced from £9.99.

  • If its an anonymous secret santa then a No 7 nail varnish set would be ok in that its better than nothing , but a 15 year old is not the target market for no7. I don't think so anyway. Its not a cool brand and whilst I don't think a teenager would be actively ungrateful, its definitely in the zzzzzz category . 15 year olds would prefer Benefit, No.17, Rimmel, or Sleek... brands like that.

TBH if No.7 was a perfume it would be Tweed, Chic or L'Aimant ...dated, very 70s, unhip and forgettable.
