Hi AoD, Thanks for the reply but the only date I can go on, is the one on their letter which incorparated the POPLA number, which was 13/11/13, giving me until the 11/12/13 to appeal ?
I don't know when it was posted or when I received it (no postmark on envelope)0 -

the point here is to get your POPLA appeal in asap , it needs to be with them and acknowledged before the deadline, not just posted !! with xmas coming post gets delayed and you have less than a week to do it, with a weekend in between
tardiness now will only cost you more time, effort and grief later
you are worrying about the shop instead of dealing with your popla appeal , so put the paperwork in asap, then worry about the shop0 -

When you received it is irrelevant. Read Reply #10 from AoD. Then come back when you have deciphered your POPLA code.0 -
Hi Coupon-Mad, Well it looks like I have certainly been had by the Asda Manager, which in itself is very annoying. Also I have been reading some of the threads on POPLA appeals and it would appear that I am not allowed to say why the car was parked in such a location, which was because of my wife's extensive medical problems, and although she does not have a "Blue Badge" she undoubtedly fits the definition of being disabled in The Equality Act 2010.
Hi Redx, Thank you for that info, however I am finding the whole business very confusing, having left school in 1959 at the grand old age of 15 and only recently becoming the proud owner of a computer, so any advice would be appreciated.
Hi Nigelbb, I have deciphered my POPLA code and it is the same as the date on my letter i.e. 13/11/13.0 -
post #4 tells you what you need to know, with a link to the correct thread that deals with all of this in fairly simple terms, by coupon-mad who also answered you and she has spent a great deal of time on here putting that guide together for all members
this thread tells you what is going on and why
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4835943
as for age, some people answering you are older than you, some may also be younger or of a similar age, so the age and school issues do not come into it , because you can read and write same as I can
you must also be aware that deadlines mean that - deadlines, so you have had weeks to sort all this out whilst waiting for asda
lastly, if you think this is difficult, missing the deadlines will mean you will find the next stages of debt recovery and possible court action even more difficult , the ball is in your court, so take a little time to engage yourself and sort this out, otherwise you will regret it0 -

No, you are 'allowed' and as she is covered by the Equality Act I think you should state why the car was parked there - but the point is you don't name the driver. You just word it about 'the driver' as a third person.
Are you looking at the right sticky thread? You should be following the 'how to win at POPLA' link which is under POPLA in the 'NEWBIES READ THIS FIRST!' sticky thread. Some POPLA examples have a paragraph I wrote about Equality Act breach but I'm at work right now so can't search for them.
Show us your draft appeal and we'll help fine-tune it into a winner.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
