What tablet please? Apple I pad mini 16gb, or Prestigio 10.1 Inch 8GB Quad Core?

Hi I would like a tablet for I Player, U Tube and Spotify or Last Fm. Facebook games: e.g. bookworm, bubble witch, tetras, scrabble etc. I Also want to !read emails and surf the net.

Do you think the Apple I pad!mini!is better then the Prestigio 10.1 Inch 8GB Quad Core Android Tablet please?

I have been told that if I put a Avast!virus guard!on the Prestigio, then it could slow it down? Also the down side is the Prestigio only has eight hours of battery life, as the Apple has 10hrs.

Many thanks and hope you can help me.

    Before deciding finally, also have a look at the following;

    Nexus 7
    Galaxy Tab 3 7"
    Galaxy Tab 2 10.1"
    Galaxy Note 8"
    Tesco Hudl

Go on to the apple website, into the store, select iPads, then scroll across the headings at the top - you'll see one called "certified refurbished"
    1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
    2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
    3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?

Guess if you want to spend more on ipad for what you require, then great.

Otherwise, the tablet will do exactly the same, other than battery life. Plus ipad mini, has smaller screen, lower resolution, with a lower processor
Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j

Does Apple still sell new Ipad mini 1's ?
Surely - the price must drop considerably - in light of the new models ?
You also want to look at the Nexus 7 - which beats the whole lot for its screen......

Don't buy a non-retina iPad mini or an iPad 2 - they are both very similar (apart from size), they are both equally out of date, and I'm surprised they are still supported by Apple.

The retina iPad mini will be far better and more expensive than that cheap Android one.

I don't think you need antivirus on Android, but I could be wrong. You don't need (and can't have) antivirus software on iPads.

Android needs Antivirus as much as a PC !!!
(possibly more so - with new viruses being produced to attack android OS)
It is freely available (AVG is just one)

My iPad Mini non-retina on IOS 7 is working beautifully. Were I buying today, well, difficult one as the old iPad mini is now at bargain prices compared to new Retina model. All I can say is, the mini does all I need and I don't miss the screen size of the old and heavy iPad 2 it replaced.

One thing is for sure though: For everyday use at home, go for an 8" squarer screen.
