Has someone been snooping on my laptop with USB?

Lady_K, I doubt it. Any techy worth his salt would have booted off usb and imaged your disk, or booted off usb and cracked your password. Both will not cause windows to pick up the new usb, and leave no logs.0

Assuming this wasn't some super sleuth then this little utility shows all USB instances that have been created and when. Install it, make sure it has display disconected devices clicked, click on the created date column and get it in created date sequence then look to see if any USB device was created during the time window you are worried about. It should show what the device type is too.0

Thankyou,
It seems after all that it was my canon printer, it must have been pulled out a bit when the room was cleaned but I panicked when I saw that downloading when I knew someone had been in my room. It might seem a bit OTT but there have been problems in the past which is why I started to worryThanx
