In great excitement I have been accepted into the prof membership of the Institute of Horticulture.
Does a very happy dance.
Waiting to hear which 'level' I am to be admitted at - which is quite exciting.
All those years of soap dodging might come into their own now as its a points system. BUT sadly NOT cumulative or I might be able to stage a coup!
Happy dappy do. Whilst it might not mean much it will help me get a job and I get some extra letters after my name where it normally says 'plant geek'.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:

One credit card under £3K, the other just dipped under £2K
woo hoo.
(ETA - I have not robbed a bank - the dd's just came off that's all and I paid a wee sneaky bit extra as I heard my wages will be c£300 from learning factory to so its been transferred over a bit early to lift my spirits)
Tea bubbling away - pasta and pork meatballs. Just lobbed some porrige in the meatballs to thicken the sauce - where would we be without mse tips eh?Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

I treated myself to a fish finger sandwich to celebrate
And some roquefort found in the garage freezerwhat a haul..............
Its more the focus of where the wages end up rather than me being super fast paying. Now I've got everything on my new spreadsheet I'm having to use it like a spending diary.
And Greying thanks.
I'll apologise for sharing the work related news, as I've only been doing horticulture since I became a single parent, (coughs, a few years now right enough) I'm so chuffed to have been accepted among 'proper' gardeners.they will yet find me out to be a fraud and I'll be out on my ear. But until then I'll read and read again the journal that came with the letter
No other payments today
a spendy day, but all work aside a 20p bag of lettuce and a 9p cucumber.

Today is our xmas dinner
I'm madly being an elf and sorting out the final bits of thank you's etc.
Hope you're all good.
I need petrol (might be the last petrol of the year) and not much else as far as I'm aware. Possibly some work spends which I have to list carefully as they'll be alot and I'm also paying for the meal today (and claiming it back good grief if it were up to me we'd be eating a giant sandwich).
So shouldn't be any spends for me, aside petrol, just work related which will be a bit hefty.

Splendid news on the memberships of the national plant geeks association - and as for someone you mentored being dead from boredom - ummm, NO - would I have sat and watched an entire gardening programme the other night without your influence? I think not! :T
We have one car which was dieselificated last night - the other will probably get a splosh of it next week although as I still have just under half a tank of last months my "usual" £50 in there might not be required in full. Hmmm. The other one will have to have another tank yet due to Devonian travelling over New Year - 250 miles each way so that's a tankful by anyones reckoning. Bah to expensive car-juice.
Roquefort sounds tasty - we started a lump of Cooleney (? sp) last night - part of the Food Show haul - think it cost us £1.Utterly delicious!
