Mrs McB's countdown to adventures with chooks (and Rock Gods)

Hey Greying my limegreen status lives but I've cancelled being a taxi for the night so I'm tucked up -
I'll take a peek at MG one - not a fan of fennel (love it in the garden as one of those Harkitextural plants) and a wee bit in salad but find the general flavour a bit not of my liking. Bit like honey - I like the idea of it, but not the taste, although honey's not quite as striking in the garden.
Nadia Geeeeeeeeeeeee - well I use to switch her off, however I watched a documentary/food programme with her in it and the background to her show. It made me look at it again. She can cook, if you can get passed the bling and bonkers heels (and the semi naked men). And, IMHO what she is good at is showing technique demonstration.
The outfits of course she steals from my husband.
I hadn't got that the show is a comedy lured to catch those who'd not watch cooking shows, but probably need the teaching they offer. An interview she did made me warm to her a bit more but I'm with you about the accent - if I think of it as kitchen comedy its more tolerable.
Then again I can't watch delia as I lob bricks at the telly and Jaymee is getting me a bit riled sometimes too as does Hugh Fluffyballs - in a lovely way I like him, but in others he drives me insane, maybe its just chicken/walled garden envy. (And I have to be careful as lobby bricks at telly's gets expensive after a while, bricks aren't cheap)thanks for the tip - I'll have a peek.
But, having fessed up the telly watching, my absolute fave (aside Nigella) is Guy F from DDD and Guy's Big Bites - Mr RG thinks I have a secret crush. But, I'm loving watching all this crazy american fusion stuff.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

I have got so much inspiration from DDD it is untrue! Great programme - love seeing the places they go to as well, little bit cooking/little bit travel. Oh, and as for Guy F's house........... <faints>
I understand about Nadia G/Kitchen comedy, but i still can't stick it, sorry
Nope, I ain't a fan of fennel either - but it doesn't sing out in the stock, it's a good base note, without the overpowering liquoriceness (is that an allowable word??) MG does say that you can use all celery if you can't get fennel/don't like it. But that doesn't help you on your meat stock issue, and i'll happily defer to much more knowledgeable folks on that
Tucked up is good, limegreeness not so......._pale_
Take care you.

Thanks me dear.
Liquorishnessishness is absolutely allowed I already bagged harkitextural.
I'll try the fennel/celery and its undertones.
Which just makes me sing teenage kicks and my perfect cousin. Quietly I promise.
Nadia yup marmite I think.
Guy (my other husband) has a stonking house. Maybe we can houseswap.
And speaking of houses - this ones in a great location - not much room for chooks though!
And that's a fair bit of cash for a flat!!!!Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Ello Mrs Rock-goddess, williamsons on East Road usually have beef bones on a Thursday, and they give them free for " the dog " .
Well .. The dog gets them later .. Obviously I get first use. Note .. It doesnt work the other way round. Its just a bad day, Not a bad life .. :cool:0 -
Lovely location but a tad pricey!!!!!
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Aye beanie that it is - nae garden though and probably as breezy as here. We'd certainly be a bit too muddy for a posh pad like that. I'm sure we'd not even get to sit on the outside closey step. And where we'd even keep the chooks - maybe they can have one of the four bedrooms
I found a cute one called 'The Cupboard' in the same village - much more affordableonly one bedroom too which means we can move the teenagers out or build them a shed each. :rotfl::rotfl:

Its near two cracking beaches and a chain walk which is great fun. And the fish and chips in the pub is quite fine too.
OK so there's 'ironed' countryside around it (eg golf course) but you can't have everything.
Think of the fun the mutts would have stealing everyone's ballsor the hens could roam free and peck the golfers.
£1.39 a bargain even with the dodgy ironed bit across the road.:rotfl::rotfl:Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
