We can agree supply is the issue but I don't think we will ever agree on the rights and wrongs of how people are treating said short supply.

    I must be a fast gazelle. :cool::rotfl:

I do actually agree that is quite a good way of putting it, not quite if you catch me you would kill me, but you would have no hesitate standing on me for yours (and your families) gain.

Meanwhile I am happy using the resources around me and want a peaceful life and wouldn't dream of standing on a fellow gazelle and just wish those bloody lions would leave us alone.

What does the lion do when he has caught and eaten or the gazelle?

    Goes and get another.

All very well is the balance is right, but if there is too many Lions the whole thing will collapse.

And when there are no more gazelles, wilderbeast etc.?

As in life those that have are reliant on those that have not.

I have heard buy to let landlords compared to a lot of things but I think 'lion' is going a bit far.

I think this is rather more representative to be honest:

a significant consensus seems to be that

    -we are short of property
-we are short of property to rent
-it's very unlikely that the current government or a (near) future government will build a significant quantity of new housing however desirable this is
    - however, renting out property other than by the state or housing trusts is at best unethical and at worst positively evil.

so good people will, in the interests of keeping themselves pure, do nothing at all.

I'm sure people looking for accommodation will understand your principled stance on their behalf.

Still going back to the lion and gazelle.

As much as the gazelle don't want to be part of the lions activities they are also powerless to stop it.

The gazelle that sticks up for it gazelle mate which is being chased is a dead gazelle.
