I second Waze as a free download. I do rate Google Maps though, but I too have had issues with it not having the destination, or even taking me somewhere I didn't actually want to go...0

Just use a sat nav when you get to Tenterden to locate the venue.
True, but the theatre was easily missable, and I had to be there for 7 pm, in the dark in a poorly lit outskirts of town.
I could have used google maps once there, true.
And the mobile reception was patchy on the way there, which was probably why.
Although I would have thought O2 would have decent coverage.
I will now try M8 for my trip to a hotel in Lenham for a job interview, but I will also bring a map and print out instructions.0
