As I said I respect that but it's not for me.

Great to see consideration given for the highway code and other road users!

Any other highway code rules you opt out of?

It's a dog eat dog world - you chose the wrong option and paid the price.

True. But I choose to drive correctly. I know of people who have been pulled over for driving in the right hand lane unnecessarily, so I will just continue to drive correctly and avoid this

    What a terrible attitude!

You do know its not Death Race 2000 that you're in on the motorway dont you?

But it's drivers like giblet that are a nuicance, motorguy I'm not doing anything wrong - I don't break the speed limits and I am courteous to other drivers.

I don't believe people doing less than 70 mph should hog the fast lane unless it is for overtaking but some I've witnessed are not comfortable with overtaking and make a meal of it.

Fast drivers should remain on the right lanes until the left is clear, weaving in and out is a complete nuicance.

It's all about interpretation you're more of a steady Eddie type of character and there is nothing wrong with that.

I don't agree wih your points above, I think they cause undue problems and slow traffic down - I think we'll have to agree to disagree on this.

The big problem I face when going to town is the volume of traffic on the M1 when getting past Broadway. All three lanes run at the same speed because of the number of cars joining the M1 at the various interchanges until you get past Sprucefield when I generally find it thins out.

I've just taught myself over the years to be patient. There's nothing I can do to change it so I just sit in the overtaking lane behind other cars until I get to the point where I can actually speed up to 70 and get past other cars doing less in the driving lanes.

Had an incident on the M1 a couple of Fridays ago, guy sitting at 60 max in outside lane with inside lane clear as far as I could see.
Sat behind him for a while then gave him one flash of the lights. He immediately braked as hard as he could at the same time elevating one hand and finger! Undertook which I don't like doing) and left him sitting in the outside lane. The general lane discipline is horrendous on our roads and some of the worst are those who are in the outside lane and at the last minute cut across one or two lanes of traffic to leave by the slip road at the very last second!

    yep, this is seriously dangerous,

had a `cotta` type driver almost take the front end outta me trying to get across from the overtaking lane onto the slip road for Sprucefield.
