I missed on a book I had been after due to there stupid maintenance. Had been watching all week as seller was in France and listing French but was a very rare book with only one bidder. Thought it would probably go for loads more so waited to the last day (yes, I know I should of added my bid but didn't want the other person ramping up the price). Anyway, tried to log on to bid on Friday morning and couldn't  item sold at 8.55am - the one bidder. Contacted ebay and said the seller was missing out on a higher sale but couldn't care less. Said it was scheduled maintenance and in the announcements (couldn't log in so couldn't see announcement tho!!). Not a happy bunny...:(0

Hi
Whenever I can't login to a major site like Ebay, or Paypal, I always do a quick check on Twitter Search to see if others are having the same problem.
I will type in something like 'ebay login' at:
https://twitter.com/search-home
And then select the 'all' option, to show the latest tweets on the subject. Quite often you will find other users reporting login problems (then my minor panic attack subsides.)
You can actually see Ebay users reporting the login problems on Twitter on the 15th of November...
Cheers
