Just back from a lovely lunch out. Nephews and nieces had combined to get us a £60 food voucher for my birthday and retirement

Well it is our 8th Anniversary tomorrow (2nd time for both of us) and we decided to use some of the voucher today. Food was beautiful, we had a drink each and a bottle of Australian Merlot

Have a good day everyone

Sorry to hear about the kitten dumpling :( Did the driver stop ?

I admit to having the heating on this morning, it was perishing.
I popped down to the market this morning to get some veggies and ended up spending a lot in Farmfoods, but I did get £5 back which has gone into my discount and winnings pot............Ok it is a couple of those large tin money boxes, that cannot be opened without a can opener :D I put all the money I get from money that I save from things that are on offer, coupons and lottery ticket winnings into it then I count it on New Years day . It then goes on something that I need, if I don't need anything I just carry it over to the next year.

I had a podiatry appointment this afternoon and told them that I still can't wear closed in shoes 7 months after the operation and that the left toe is really bothering me , she said it looked a little inflamed and that I have to keep an eye on it and go back in 6 weeks, she also gave me some special cream to rub into my heels and told me to ask the GP to put it on my repeat prescription, that will be 10 things on it now  all monthly ones, good job I don't have to pay seeing as I am diabetic otherwise I could not afford to get any of them at £7.85 per item  It would have to be a prepayment and that isn't cheap either especially when you are on a limited budget :(

Right I must go and start dinner, chicken cobbler tonight

((((((Hugs)))))) to all the poorlies x x

  • Sorry I'm late today...

Baby decided that as it was due today, and it was Daddies birthday too it would make a surprise entrance :D

So at 8.26am I had a beautiful baby girl, called Daisy Louisa, 7lb 4oz, happy and healthy :)

My family is now complete and perfect. She looks just like her Daddy x
We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy!

  • Evening all!

JulieGeorgiana - Huge congratulations to you :j

The day just seems to have whizzed past as usual. I haven't done anything very exciting today, just the usual chores and pottering about.

I'm going to have a moan about Tescos, I am very lucky to live minutes away from a huge Tesco store, which is lovely for the choice and non food bits but, I HATE having to walk to the far corner of the store when all I want is a bottle of milk!! Why oh why can't they stick some by the door?! I suspect they think people will buy other stuff if they have to pass it all, but I just stomp through the store negotiating the people and trollies!

Sausage and chips for tea tonight.

Have a good Friday night :)

Good evening everyone and many thanks for the hugs. The driver did stop and she was devastated but there was absolutely nothing she could have done to prevent it. I felt very sorry for her.

Many many congratulations to Julie Georgiana on the safe delivery of your beautiful daughter. May you have a lifetime of love and happiness with her x

    Evening all,

JulieGeorgiana congratulations on the birth of your daughter. I love her name. So pleased the delivery went well and she was delivered safely.

Dumpling so sorry to hear about the kitten. I hope your Granddaughter recovers from her experience.

NAR if I forget, happy anniversary to you and the lovely wife. I hope you have a wonderful day.... but Lord knows how she puts up with you! :D

I'm fine, everyone is healthy, hubby working away in Derby. A rushed job apparently and he's working nights and sleeping in digs over there. He's working this weekend too. I dunno when i'll be seeing him next.

Not much else to add really. Had the results of my blood test which was all normal thankfully but confirmed that I am menopausal. In my head I knew it but I like things spelt out for me.

    Have a good evening all.
