didnt expect so amny prompt responses, thanks all, but does anyone know whatthe letter of the law is and if its a council or police matter? This is only part of the issues he's created - deep excavations for foundations appeared the whole length of the back garden and ive just been onto the council about them so I've decided to fight back It's one thing after another, he put cctv cameras on his house that cover his 'drive' and the street and he's just caused havoc and making me think about moving but with what he's doing to the house my house will be unsellable. God knows what else hes got in store
Be careful
If it does get so bad you want to move, you might have to declare any disputes with neighbours as part of the information about the property0 -
Sounds like you are on a loser OP with what ever you do. Reporting your neighbour will just make things worse between you, I would just ignore them and not park there again, although I do like scheming gypsies approach!0

The way I'm reading this, the guys thinking of (or is) extending his property and wants off street parking, covered by CCTV.
Is it really so bad?0 -
There are never any winners in neighbour disputes. Think very carefully where you want this to go and what you want to achieve. Have you actually tried to discuss your concerns with them? (apart from the initial 5 minute shouting match).0

The winner is the one who hammers frozen sausages into their neighbours lawn. :beer:0 -
The kerb is not dropped outside this new drive so theyve put wooden blocks between the kerb and the road to access the drive.0

Why not just take the easy option and not park in front of his "drive"0

Why not get everyone in the Rd to do what he has done..then there will be nowhere for anyone to park so the road can be renamed "Selfish Avenue"The Early bird may catch the worm ...but its the second mouse that gets all the cheese!0 -
I've seen wooden blocks used and even piles of cement/concrete used to create a makeshift access ramp. Definitely tell your council but as for parking there, is he the sort of person who would damage your car? Sounds like he is. Maybe you should put up some CCTV if you intend to park there.0

Given the distance from the front of the house to the road, my local council wouldn't allow a dropped kerb to be installed.0
