Gas oven not heating up!

  • I don't want to tread on anyones toes, especially an 'experts' but the last thing I would be considering would be the thermostat. The majority of oven faults such as this are usually the FFD. The oven lights, but doesn't rise to full flame because the flame failure device is not being heated sufficient to allow the gas valve to open. A simple clean of the oven burner cures the problem in many cases.

    If the FFD is faulty, it will need the services of a correctly qualified engineer to replace it
