I used to do similar in my shed. Its handy for keeping plants frost free and warm throughout the winter.

    Fork handles?

Strikes me that he would get the same amount of heat out of them whether they are covered in flowerpots, or not.
  • Well I had a go, purchased the pan 98p the two pots £1.88, 100 tealights £2 from Wilko, call it £6 as I had to make a trip to the garden centre to purchse pots.

And I can honestly say that I would have been better using my £6 to run my 1kw heater for 50 hours, this is a total waste of time.

I was under the impression the flower pots were supposed to work as thermal stores / radiators rather than the heat going straight up the ceiling.

Still the amount of heat as a function of btu must be fairly small however you choose to "skin it".

I can't see how it would keep anyone overly warm.
