Pleased that all is going well. Gym this morning, just strength training stuff, it went well even though I had managed to bash my thumb joint and couldn't use one thumb! Very cold today and quite blowy, but only a bit of a breeze if comparing it to the north and Scotland. xxThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0

Afternoon all,
Phew that was a busy week. I spent all week day & night making wreaths for orders. I then spent all of yesterday making wreaths for a Christmas Fair I was at today. I sold 7 which is £70 and not bad going.
Have another 9 to make for next week and I think there is 4 for the week after. Good little money earner.
So.....I have a fairly quiet evening tonight. I intend to put my feet up a little, maybe do abit of sewing. I have sat making wreaths every night till about 1030pm all week, so I feel quite worn out.
I have four wreaths that did'nt sell today, so they will go towards next weeks orders. That means I only have 5 to make tomorrow, which should'nt take too long.
Will be working 6 hours each day next week (while children are in school). and trying to get sewing orders done in the evenings.
Whats the betting I wear myself out and i'm then ill over christmas.
I need to find time to sit at the computer and pay some bills. My tax credits and hubbys wages have gone in and there are sure to be tonnes of bills I should be paying out. Will tackle that tomorrow morning. Too tired right now.
Hope all is well.Speak soon0 -
Morning Diary.
Had fun at the Christmas Fair yesterday and made £70. Really smugly pleased with myself, that I have managed to figure out a way to make money even though I can't really get a full time job because of young children and no family around to help support.
The real test will be next year, I feel I accidentaly timed the starting of my new business really well. Starting it in September caught the Christmas rush of everyone spending. January February will probably be very different.
Happily I managed to pay off my council tax yesterday. Only Januarys to pay now and then two months off. :T
Unfortunately the Direct Debit to my husbands credit card bounced middle of last week. Don't really want to enlighten hubby about this, so can't call them up. but I COULD pay them now, but not sure if they will represent the direct debit and then end up taking it twice, which I can't afford. Not sure what to do about that one. Might leave it another week and if it hasn't come out then I will pay them direct.
Its looking good that we can pay all our bills this month AND pay the set amounts to the snowball calculation :T
Got to get on with some more sewing, speak later xxx0 -
That's great news Stephanie, there are loads of positive changes happening and if you can make it through xmas you can make it through anything, as it is always so expensive!
Glad the business is doing well, I meant to say to you my bunting arrived the other day and I absolutely love it, it goes so well on the wall. I have invited quite a few people to like your page so hopefully things will go from strength to strength as word on your stuff spreadsCredit card £4461.15Home mortgage £137117Buy to let mortgage £83,0000 -

Hi there,
I didn't realise you were on here :T. Sooo glad you like the bunting and thank you so much for ordering something.
It's really nice for me to be able to contribute towards solving our debt issues. Before it always felt like hubby earnt the money and I just ruined it all by spending too much. Now I can help and it really does make a difference.
Take care xxxx0 -
You must be shattered, but what a productive time you are having:T
A pain about the CC payment, but great news on the Council Tax, I am sure that you will get it sorted soon. Have you planned what you will use the council tax holiday funds for? nice to know that you will have a little extra to allocate for 2 months. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. Morning Maddiemay
With the extra two months, which is £380 . Not sure whether to pay it off my first CC debt I am tackling or to leave it in the account to help the overdraft ?????. Unsure.
Got my first day full-time working today, its only for 1 week but I am really nervous to sort of lose all those hours and not be able to get more sewing done. I am going to have to fit my sewing orders in on the evenings...yikes. Quite good pay though so HAVE to do it. xxx
Oh well, I had better go and feed my animals before I go as I won't be here all day.

I guess you have plenty of time to decide how best to allocate the funds, if you are anything like me you will mentally spend it 100 times over:rotfl:
Once all the Christmas rush is over I think you should give yourself a week off from everything but the essential daily jobs, I know a mum/house keeper/animal carer/ personal servant to an OH never really gets time off, but hopefully you can tell the young ones to go play with their presents, play outside etc. (as children if we complained of having nothing to do, we were told to find something for ourselves otherwise something would be found for us:eek:, we lived in the country too and soon learned that the sensible move was to make our own choice or else:rotfl::rotfl:
I am trying to catch up on some housekeeping, I am rather untidy and need to be a bit more organised, I hate the thought of dusting etc., but fortunately the thought is worse than the deed!

Hi Maddiemay
You are right, Once we get to Christmas week, I am going to slow right down. It is only us for Christmas dinner so that should be nice and relaxed. No old relatives to keep sweet and other kids to chase around after.
I really do need a rest soon, otherwise I am bound to be ill.
I have done a vague calculation and I should have loads of money coming in over this week and next so it is well worth it. Should be in excess of £500 :T:T:T:T.
 Well worth all the hard work xxx0 -
