  • Felt abit stir crazy this afternoon. Think I have been on my own, sewing too long. Feel like I could really do with more human interaction than Phil & Holly on This Morning :o.

I usually have a coffee or two with different friend each week but I have been so busy and whenever I have had a spare moment, everyone else has been busy, so it hasn't happened this week.
Feel slightly starved of friendly chit chat. (Hubby isn't a big chatter ;)).

Nevermind Friday tomorrow. Got a scary few days at the beginning of December. Got the mortgage and life insurance due to go out and Really need them to be paid as they are Novembers direct debits that failed earlier in the month .

If I leave the bank account alone and no unexpected bills turn up then we should be fine. Fingers Crossed.

Off to get dinner ready. Speak soon xx
  • Do you have any crafty friends that you could possibly invite to yours for a cuppa whilst you work? I used to do this when I did the sock monkeys and I would sit there sewing and nearly every friend that came over would be saying "ooh is there anything I can do to help" ;) I'd get them stuffing (so tedious and takes ages!) monkey limbs and suchlike and I had company so didn't get bored :p

I think it's great you have all this work though and I really hope you get it all done in time! :D

  • Just go onto facebook and type in "The orchard goose" and you will see it...the stuff is so nice :)

that is a good idea. although I think this week has just been an odd one for everyone. Its just one of those weeks where everyone seems to be busy, so no one around to break up my days. Nevermind, will try not to feel too sorry for myself ;)

Good idea though, I would love to get someone to do the stuffing for me. I hate that bit :)

wantabetterlife is right it should just come up if you type that in. Not sure what the rules are about self-promotion on this site, so I had better not put a link up.
I have also made a little website (still not totally finished) and that should also come up if you google. xx
Thanks for wanting to look me up and also thanks 'wantabetterlife' for your nice compliments xxxx
  • Afternoon,

Pretty good day today, despite waking up with a killer headache, I ploughed on and took my items to the craft fair.

The children drove me slightly mad with their nagging to buy bits, cakes, drinks etc. Its really hard having to sometimes take the children, they constantly go against my efforts to make money by trying to find ways to spend it .

Got away with 1 £2.50 jigsaw and two glasses of water :o.

I was glad I went in the end, I sold £25.00 worth of items and received orders for £83 worth of items :T.

Home now, making up an ordered set of Christmas bunting and then off to a friends for a cup of coffee.

Out to a friends for dinner tonight, so all in all a lovely day :)

What a great result, sorry about the headache though. I have had one for a couple of days and now have a manky cold. Feeling a bit brighter this afternoon so watching Harry Potter film on TV.

It's nice that you are getting some relaxation with friends, have a good time.

    Hi Maddiemay

Hope the cold hasn't turned out too bad.

  • Eugh Feeling abit frustrated this morning.

After speaking to the mortgage company earlier in the month about having problems paying them on time, they kindly cancelled my Direct Debit and agreed that as long as I paid within the same month then they would not put any charges onto my account etc.

So I thankfully managed to make my mortgage payment on the 29th , and now today have a double water, double tv license and double life insurance going out. All to catch up on Novembers royal mess up of the accounts.

Its abit tricky now though as I have zero money available to live this week :o.

Thankfully I have hopefully some money from my crafts coming in at some point and hubby is due to be paid from a couple of odd jobs he has done, but when any of this arrives is unknown :(.

Its just so frustrating, that just because I am bloomin useless at budgeting, that all this extra money coming in, that should be a nice treat/reward just totally disappears to cover regular bills.

I MUST MUST MUST remember this feeling so that when we crawl out of this debt, I do not ever go here again. Its miserable.

Got abit of dilemma this morning - Have been invited to a friends house for mince pies and a natter with her and a few others. It won't cost me anything other than fuel.
Trouble is my fuel light is on and I have £20 to put in the car but that probably won't last until the end of the week, so I could really do with being careful with where I drive.
I guess just writing this down tells me that I shouldn't be going :(

    I hate being poor :(:(:(

    Morning Steph,
Feel a little better thanks, but now have a cough, but it didn't keep me awake, so OK really.

Sounds like a productive weekend, great news.

Shame about (probably) having to turn down coffee and natter, if you need a reason, I guess pressure of orders to make would be a good one (and probably true).

Re: the finances, stop beating yourself up!! you knew it would be incredibly tough for December and Jan and you are dealing with it, you can't do more than that at the minute. Your craft income has perhaps made the difference between squeaking by and sinking without trace, have a coffee and give yourself a pat on the back, and keep plodding (said in a Strictly Come Dancing tone:rotfl:)

Several lovely diarists have become debt free at the end of November:j, for some it has been really long haul and life has been pretty desperate at times, but they have made it, inch by inch, penny by penny, and you will too, I am sure the support from keeping the diaries updated of triumphs and disasters has made "the difference" for many of them.

Your budgeting skills may not have been great in the past, but they will become amazing as you progress through this journey to being debt free. Virtual hugs and :D:D xx
