Haggling with Vodafone - Match 3 price plans?
Hi all
I've been a customer of Vodafone for just over three years on a £42 a month iPhone price plan. I'm generally happy with the service, but I'm a bit frustrated at how stingy they are with data allowances. My contract is up at the end of this month and I'm debating whether to jump ship. I don't want to upgrade so thinking of going Sim Only.
The One Plan that Three offer seems like the best value in the market by far. However, I'd rather not jump ship unless there is no choice as I'm comfortable with Vodafone's coverage. Has anyone tried haggling with VF to get them to match other network's price plans?

I understand Vodafone on offer upto 2Gb of data per month where as we offer AYCE with no limit whatsoever and this will also cover you for 4G at no extra charge so coming over to Three would maybe benefit yourself, if you want to drop me an email on my work address we can talk through this further and I could maybe give you a call, ************@three.co.uk, Cheers
The hell....
This kind of crap is allowed?0 -

This forum is for users not employees touting for business. It looks unprofessional and as there is a clear incentive for you to get a sale out of the OP it totally undermines the advice you are giving.0

To answer your question. The best thing to do is negotiate. Perhaps look for a 4G tariff. For example. Vodafone are currently doing Unl calls/Texts and 6GB Data for £26pm on a 12 month SIM only. If you buy this via TopCashback you earn £136 cashback. This means the SIM card theoretically costs £14.60 every month after cashback.
If you quote this to the Voda operator they may be able to apply a discount manually to get your current account down to this price on the new tariff.0 -
I think ForeverBlue is the same guy who used to be called rangers991...

Both should be banned (oh, and can everyone go back and delete the bits in your messages where you quoted his email address)1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -
My guess is that this Taylor Lovie is a Three employee who is paid on sales commission. It is almost certain that Three does not permit its employees to tout for business in public internet forums and that any public statements by Three's employees are governed by a corporate communications policy which Taylor Lovie has probably breached.0

OP, my friend just negotiated the following deal with Vodafone:
Ultd. mins, texts and 4gb data (However, Ultd data for 3months) - 12mnth - £15pm, plus cashback on top.
He was insistent on getting unlimited data, hence the bonus. I imagine it's not a 4G tariff and that the cashback is minimal.0
