This story is about a councillor parking in a disabled bay and being ticketed by Devere Parking.
Irrespective of her actions / position and the rights and wrongs of it, should PPC's be releasing voice recordings and images to the press ?

A worker for Devere parking services, who asked not to be named, said he felt the councillor’s comments were “unbelievable”.

I'm split - I'd hate to see a PPC get any money but equally I despise most councillors !0 -

It better not be a Falmer Parish Councillor :mad:0 -
She was there getting items for an evening meal, do you think the meal may become official entertainment and certain expenses claimed?
She paid?
Hate to see Devere profiting (and they have the cheek to charge a card payment fee) but parking in a disabled bay she may deserve it!0 -
"Im going to do something about that" as if she has the authority to do something about how many bays a private company has on their private land.
yet another councilor who's bitten the I have power and authority bug.
I see no issue with the PPC releasing such, there recordings published everyday on youtube and other press situations, DPA wasn't breached by giving out personal details such as card details and home phone number or home address.0 -
It's perfectly legal to take video or images of anyone in public. The Data protection act does not apply. You can post the video and sound to the internet if you want to.0

Sounds like a phone call to me. Definitely not in public if that's the caseOne important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0
