Even now once the lodger has left I have left the bedroom radiator off and the room is warm enough from the remaining heat rising from the living room keeping me warm all night. I do not have the central heating come on in the morning at all....yet...:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

What you want is a dummy stat in the hall and the working one in your bedroom . They will spend all their time turning the dummy up and down. easy to do if you have wireless stats.You scullion! You rampallian! You fustilarian! I’ll tickle your catastrophe (Henry IV part 2)0

My question is;
Why the hell do you have the central heating on overnight??? Barmy to be honest.:AI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Depends on the sort of timer you have - mine (a wireless one) doesn't have an 'off' mode which irritates me a bit, but I just set it for 10 degrees overnight . In theory someone else could override that easily and turn it up. I live alone and the dogs can't reach so not a problem for me . . .I want my sun-drenched, wind-swept Ingrid Bergman kiss, Not in the next life, I want it in this, I want it in this
Use your imagination, or you can borrow mine!0 -
Aren't there any timer controls for the boiler?
Reminds me of a house in France we stayed in over Christmas where the thermostat was permanently fixed at 25°C and there was no obvious way to turn the boiler off.
We had to regulate the heat by opening the doors and windows.0 -
Thanks for input.0

:T:T:T:T:T:T:TThis is the real issue, I and others where side tracked, the thermostat is irrelevant...
The timer needs control, not the stat.:beer:I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
