Someone in the house keeps turning on the heating at night so I wake up sweating. We use the wall thermostat to turn it on and off. Is there a way I can enclose the thermostat and lock it up?

Tell them to stop it0

What you want is one of these

Makes a heck of a racket when lifted up0 -
The thermostats at my bowls club have little plastic boxes surrounding them to prevent them being altered unofficially.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
Something like this would do the job:- cut a hole out the back to put it over the stat and screw to wall.

Or get a TRV for your rad.0 -
Wouldn't covering up the Stat affect the readings that it takes? since it would give a 'form' of insulation around the sensor?
Is the heating actually 'off' or is it kicking in because the temperature has dropped..0 -
So have you identified the culprit?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

A tamper proof stat is what you need.0

Ah when my parents lived with my nan it was like a bloody sauna. In the end my parents fitted radiator thermostats. Her room was toasty, and there's like ice0
